I made tomato hotpot
Shrimp, napa cabbage, white mushrooms, tofu (sautéed garlic in the pot beforehand, added soy sauce and very spicy chili oil at the end)

It was pretty good and fairly inexpensive. What other dishes should I try to soupmaxx?

Rich flavored spicy soup is the best. What about an Asian beef stew or kimchi soup?
>>
>>21970765
Kimchi soup sounds very good, I'll look into it. Is it a difficult recipe?

Yum! I recently got a stick blender and I've been making some nice smoothie soups.

So far my favourite is:
>potato
>onion
>couple garlic cloves
>celery
>carrot
>parsnip
>turnip
>stock
let it simmer and then blend it smooth, add a cup or so of cream and whala. delicioso and nutricioso

Looks good maybe add more ingredients next time, mussels, those frozen beef strips for hotpot etc

I had a hotpot with my Chinese roommates in college and she served us like small bowls with smooth peanut butter, cilantro, i can't remember but I assume some kind of vinegar, maybe chili oil, spring onion, I'm not sure, but the idea was you spooned in the hot pot spicy soup into the bowl and mixed it with the bowl ingredients.

In retrospect it was such a nice gesture, we drank soy milk with the meal.

I think it depends on the recipe but fairly easy, at its simplest it could just be a base of kimchi with stock, choice of meat, sliced tofu, and optional potato chunks
