How's Japanese beer? I've never had one but the bottles and cans always looks so nice.
Generally nice and drinkable when very cold. You may be reminded of an American Macrobrew since both they and the Japanese use rice in the brewing process (obviously the Japanese beer is better tasting)
>>21969564>obviously the Japanese beer is better tasting
>>21969547quite delicious, also note that the domestic ones have a completely different taste than the US made beers of the same name. Even with Kirin or Sapporo which you can find at any beer store near me in the US you'll get a watery, soapy, slightly sour head vs in the Japan where it's a thick and rich and creamy, it's not just a difference of draft beers either because I've bought and poured bottles of both. Idk what they're putting in there-- also imo (when you're in japan): sapporo classic (hokkaido only) > the premium malts > yebisu > kirin > sapporo > orion > asahi
>>21969547They're the same kind of macrobrewery lager you can find anywhere.Kirin is the plainest, and Asahi Super Dry is the one I like best, at least that has some character.
>>21969547Good, but overpriced in my experience. I would rather spend another dollar and get imported German lager like Franziskaner Weissbier, or spend a couple dollars less and get something like Budweiser. It sorta sits in that middle ground between cheap decent everyday beer and more expensive occassion beer. Asahi in particular is overpriced. Sapporo is fair and good for what you pay though. Kirin is good, but I have never bought it, only been gifted so idk about price to flavor.
>>21969610The Italian brewed Asahi Dry is hot fucking garbage...
>>21969547The best one there is Premium Malts and it reminds me of a Yuengling beer. Most of them are just like Bud/Coors stuff. Just mass produced macros made for pounding ice cold.
>>21969547The White Owl Nest ones are really good.
>>21969547Macrobrews are pretty much the same wherever you go in the developed world. Mass production and a low price point mean they tend towards the exact same brewing methods.Plus Japanese people have low alcohol tolerance so they don't really care about getting quality beer.
>>21969547chinese beer is strickly better
They pair well with fried chicken.
>>21969547I liked asahi the best
mogged by italian beer
this is the only one you need. it’s brewed for good times
>>21969827Seconding this, Hitachino is great.
>>21969547they just taste like beer, nothing special about them
>>21969547Look at Asian delivery restaurants in your area OP they often have Asahi and Kirin at least in my area desu
>>21969547not any different from your normal american shit like miller or bud or pbr or whatever. i will say though that for some reason asahi does taste slightly better than that average
>>21969564They taste the same desu senpai
>>21969564>the Japanese use rice in the brewing processYebisu is a 100% barley malt beer. No rice or rice malt of any kind.
>>21970237>shitty adjunct lager>owned by Asahi group anywayOh, my sweet summer child.
I had a draft Orion I’m a frozen mug in Auckland and it was one of the best beers I’ve ever had.
>>21969547Largely American-ish, maybe a bit more malt to them depending on what it is.Love Asahi dark and Orion
>>21970237Never understood why Peroni uses the green bottles. It's half decent when it's not skunked.
>>21970242I tried this but it's made in Germany so idk if it's even the real deal. Can't say that it's anything too special.
Got fired from working in a liqour store once because I just kept stealing 6 packs of Asahi cans home
>>21969564>Rice beer :|>Rice beer Japan :0
the shit not sold in Japan is ass
>>21972770I prefer it to Bud and Coors.Mind you, there's also an "Entertainment" portion of payments and tour budget when I'm over there, which basically makes the beer free. Free beer is better.
