I have gone off spaghetti as my default pasta. Just use penne or if you really need strands, tagliatelle. I do think that in Italy they have taller pots but with a smaller diameter. I have to use one of my larger ones.
And the biggest trick is that after a few seconds they are bendy enough to be pushed down.

The only people who break spaghetti are actually people who are too stupid to figure out how to cook it properly.
I think spaghetti is the worst form of pasta. The only strand I fuck with is fettuccine. Otherwise it’s Penne or spirals.

He doesn't know about the al dente way of life.

1) we break spaghetti and other pasta all the time; it's just "Italian" Americans who shid and fard all over themselves in irrational fury over it because they've nothing else
2) spaghetti softens almost immediately with contact with boiling water to the point that you can push the entire strands in within a second or two
3) "oh noes! you overcooked one end of the spaghetti by two seconds! The dish is ruined!" is not anything anyone had ever said because boiling doesn't work that way
4) if it tingles your 'tism that much, just use a large frying pan or very, very tall pot; the pan uses less water and since you're obviously alone in life and always will be, that's what you should use
5) only retards like you and >>21972389, who is likely a greasy wop dego from New Jersey named Vinnie, Mikey or Joey, are too stupid to understand that breaking spaghetti isn't about cooking it properly/evenly

>>
>>21972402
I don't think that's immediately obvious if you haven't tried it before.
>>
I break spaghetti so I don't have to cut it before eating with a fork later.
>>
>>21972742
To make it spoonable for minestre and soups. Done throughout Italy, it's especially common in the South and since all greasy wop degos are descended of dirt-eating southerners, it's surprising to me that they'd have such a stick up their collective ass about breaking pasta.
>>21972696
>t. retard
>>
>>21972755
huh that's why we use vermicelli in our soups because the little balls they come in are much easier to crush in your fist
ghetti are annoying to break
>>

I'm not arguing
