What does it taste like?
>>21972070ham
>>21972070your tears
>>21972070shit
>>21972070It's a lot like prosciutto, but drier.
pennies n milk
kinda buttery
>>21972201>>21972074this. its just overpriced buttery ham.
>>21972070It tastes metallic. Jamón is the soul of the katana that is unique to each blade manifesting the difference between the steels used in its manufacture during the grind. It was introduced in the first season of JoJo's Bizzarre Adventure
>>21972243>>21972201Why is buttery in taste? Is butter used in the preparation or does it just take on that type of flavor?
>>21972335Butter is fat and salt, of which ham has a lot.
>>21972070Like bags of sand
>>21972070>What does it taste like?I like all these opinions in this thread - considering none of the people commenting have EVER eaten it. Americans can't even afford it.
>>21972070It has a nutty fragance. >>21972088Prosciutto is less cured sure, but an iberico is too fatty to be dry at all. Plus the fat starts melting at room temperature. Jamón serrano can be drier.
>>21972070God's own fingertips.
Iberico
>>21972070salty milk and coins
>>21972433>Americans can't even afford it.There is literally nothing that Americans can't afford. Of the top 10 richest people on the planet, 8 are American.
>>21972557>Of the top 10 richest people on the planet, 8 are American.Skews the figures for the rest of you, living hand to mouth, deep in debt, in your poverty stricken trailer park.
>>21972088yea, but I got some dry stone hard prosciutto chunks, from Italy, not the cheap crap
>>21972458>It has a nutty fragance.something else has a nutty fragrance
>>21972559Even the nearest chain supermarket to my house carries a few different varieties of iberico.
>>21972579Yes, of course they do.I bet you can also buy a genuine Rolex for $30
>>21972585>https://www.wegmans.com/shop/search?query=jamon%20ibericoWhat I think Europoors don't understand about America is that we have access to literally every food on the planet. Everyone lives here; there is no nation on Earth that doesn't have immigrants living in America. Those immigrants bring their food along, initially for themselves, eventually for everyone. In any medium sized city, you can buy pretty much any food on Earth. That link above is not some specialty shop, which I could also go to if I wanted a wider selection. That's just the deli counter at a chain supermarket.
>>21972592Little plastic containers of mystery meat.Like I said, enjoy your $30 Genuine Rolex. We can get anything . . . .we america . . . we have more than anyone . . . blah blah blah.
>>21972592You can immediately tell it's fake. You're being scammed out of your hard earned money.
>>21972074
>>21972433Buddy, there's like five different kinds of Serrano and Iberico in the nearest supermarket in the shithole where I live
>>21972592>PaletaThat is not jamón. It is the front leg, not the rear leg. The flavor is somewhat comparable but paleta is MUCH cheaper and a bit inferior. Still pretty tasty but it is grossly overpriced at the store you linked. In Spain I'd probably only buy a whole paleta for 30 euros or less. But it does seem to be real, dehesa cordobesa seems to be a real Spanish company (https://www.dehesas.com/).
>>21972070>What does it taste like?shitty pork jerky
>>21972070it tastes and smells like piss to me but i love it
>>21972598>>21972614>it's fake because...it just is, ok???So sad to see this sort of seethe. It's a deli; they have prepackaged containers for convenience. If you want a specific amount, you tell them and they slice it off in front of you. Surely you have something similar in your country? It's also not worth it to these corporations to fake this sort of thing. The bad press they'd get for being caught faking their meats would cost them much more than they'd ever make from what, bringing in mislabeled pig legs or something?
>>21972639weird how you ignored this >>21972625 post
>>21972070Fattier prosciuttoIt’s very good, but not worth the $130/lb or whatever you’ll pay in the states
>>21972070Fatty Ham
>>21972070buy some and find out?
>>21972070if you plan on overspending for some cured meat get yourself some culatello instead of jamon, you'll be thankful later.
>>21972783direct translation>go for the ass instead of the thigh
>>21972625>>21972667Nope it's fake. It's not even a question of which cut it is. It simply isn't Iberico.>>21972639It's fake because every single Iberico pig that's ever been born in Spain is born with an ID card which is required if you ever want to sell that pig as Iberico in the future.Real Iberico has a label. Fake Iberico doesn't. Because you know nothing about the world around you it makes perfect sense for these corporations to scam you. I'm not blaming you, I'm blaming the corporations who intentionally keep you in the dark. They are getting terrible press, all the time. Your personalized Google search results simply aren't showing any of that to you.Pic related. Either it has this label or it's Chinese pork sold at 100x the price. It's that simple.
>>21972070What is it? Is that the gabagool I heard so much about?
>>21972621and you've NEVER bought one because you're poor
>>21973104>SpainIs that some beaner African country?
>>21972070Jam
>>21973721>D'Tarius Jiminez gets rekt>tries to cope>shaky hands and misty eyes
It's nothing but fat and nitrates
>>21973434no, gabagool is properly dried and cured and delicious, jamon and prosciutto smell like pungent ass sweat
What does it smell like?
