I've been shelling out for pastured meat and eggs, raw milk, only to find out it has little to no effect on health as part of a mixed diet. Has anyone else been bamboozled like this or only me?

I'm sure it's not just you. People here fall for retarded or even dangerous shit all the time. I wouldn't fuck with raw milk. And it's dumb to be afraid of seed oils or add a bunch of turmeric to your diet.
Any alternative holistic type shit is out there on the fringe for good reason. Don't forget that.
>>
>>21975259
Health is a tricky topic for a lot of people and there's not much money in telling people the way to be healthy is to have a well balanced diet and to exercise. There is however a lot of money in shilling for or against some flavour of the month alternative health crap that'll be forgotten about in a years time
>>
>>21975266
Yeah, you get it.
>>
>>21975266
I don't get why the fuckers felt the need to shill expensive pastured meat when the barn raised stuff is a fraction of the price and close enough in nutrition that it's fine. It's not like some little regenerative farm is paying them to do it.
>>
>>21975250
Yes
There r long term n short term effects when it comes to diet
The good quality meat eggs n dairy would have a positive effect on your health, but this is only observable long term
What ppl want is positive results in the short term
So they want to lose weight, have less fat, more muscle, more stamina, better sleep, less stress, etc
This requires not only good food, but knowledge of ones own body, the environment he lives in, how to combine thosr food and when to eat what.
This takes a shit ton of trial n error, which most ppl r not autistic enough to do
>>21975259
Case in point, somebody like this, who never dares to stray too far away from the middle, lest he be considered a weirdo or sth
In other words, the textbook midwit
>>

>I fell for the bullshit of a man that believes the miasma theory of disease
Well that was dumb of you
Look, nutrition science is still relatively new, anyone making big bold claims about how X is great or Y is terrible for you is a con artist or a moron or both.
>>
>>21975273
Note that when this anon says "knowlege of one's own body" they don't mean actual scientific or test-derived knowledge of their gut biome or nutrition science, they mean good viiiiibes maaaaaaan.

Fucking right wing hippies

What man are you talking about?
>>
>>21975278
I'll give you a hint: he looks like red leather and has a worm in his brain
>>
>>21975250
Memes and marketing gimmicks are just that: memes and marketing gimmicks.
Just don't eat likeca retard and you'll be fine.
>>
>>21975281
>worm in his brain
If you mean jfks nephew with the fucked up voice, I'm not American and don't know anything about those guys.
>>
>>21975291
Well he pushes raw milk and other unpasteurized produce and doesn't believe germs exist, so now you do know about him
>>
>>21975277
So according to this guy, b4 there was science n tests n peer reviews, it was impossible to be knowledgable about ones body. So for eg in a group of a million bisons, there couldnt have been healthy bisons n unhealthy bisons, n what separated them couldnt have been knowledge (or "vibe") about their own bodies n what they needed to consume to be healthy. No they were all just dumb animals because they didnt have science.
Like i said, a textbook midwit.
>>
>>21975295
A Bison is a retarded filthy disgusting animal and so are you.
>>
>>21975294
I don't drink raw milk but hpp milk which is the closest thing here to raw, and I just found out it's not worth the extra money over pasteurised as there's basically no difference health wise.
>>
The benefit is flavor lol
The only health benefits are the differences between like 1% vs whole milk and whole meat vs mechanically separated
>>
>>21975304
I noticed the flavour difference with free range vs forest foraging pork but that might even be down to the rare pig breed they were raising in the forests. Best pork I ever ate but hard to justify for the price.
>>
>>21975298
I rest my case
For most ppl its much safer to be like this midwit, since even if youre wrong, theres a million others who r just as wrong n the herd will have to find a way to save itself (you).
If you are a true individual though, being in the middle isnt going to satisfy you.
Yes diet choice is as much about personality as your favourite color is
>>
>>21975307
Eggs are my biggest thing, especially eggs from a random farmer in the area. I can't go back desu, I buy cheap eggs for some baking but if I'm making a sauce or just eating eggs?
It's disappointing now if I only have the cheap.
Free range chicken had a better texture, and beef had more flavor but it was still beefy
Milk doesn't necessarily have a better flavor, but the viscosity is more pleasant. An international market near me sells Amish milk that's been pasteurized but it's completely whole, has the cream top and everything. Best milk ice ever head, it's so rich and delicious!
I think for someone like that too it's now nutritionally complete compared to the COTS milk. No one wants to sell a product that separates, the cowards

This thread is full of psueds btw.

health comes from exercise and sheer will, not diet.
you got bamboozled hard.
>>
>>21975272
you know how people that protest really don't want change, they just like to complain?
it's kind of like that.
>>
>>21975250
why would how much room the pig has to roll in its own shit have any effect on how healthy its meat is for you to eat?
>>
>>21975842
It's about the diet. Pigs and chickens are monogastric so they store high omega 6 corn and soy feed directly into their fat. When the animals are pastured and able to forage for roots, grubs, acorns etc they end up with several times higher omega 3 in their fat, so the omega 3:6 ratio is more ideal. Ruminants are better at converting and regulating their ratio but there's still a big difference between grain fed and pastured. Turns out none of this makes any measurable difference to the health of the human that eats them though, if said human is getting omega 3 elsewhere like nuts, fish, olives etc;
Thusly I was bamboozled into thinking the ratios in meat were important and that raw milk preserved enzymes that help with digestion and bioavailability. It does preserve enzymes but they don't do anything.
>>
>>21975833
That’s a retarded statement

>>21975842
I’m guessing you’ve never been to a family farm

>>21975897
> measurable difference of health
Exactly! There’s so much “science” out there but the differences are negligible for human health.
It’s really just about quality of life for the animals, wasteful production, and flavor/texture. I wish America valued quality over quantity desu
