Would you eat a British takeaway meal?
>>21976149Honestly, yeah. Mushy peas seems like an acquired taste and I could see myself growing to like it. The only British dish that I've actually been repulsed by is jellied eels, everything else seems pretty good. A lot of gravy, fries, and savory pies/pastries sounds good.
>>21976149if I have toI guess
>>21976149Hell yeah. The British invented deep frying, as you know. No wonder they're the best at it.
>>21976156Where have you had jellied eels?
>>21976149looks like they ruined perfectly good freedom fries
>>21976149That's what they call 'to-go' food over there? They always have to try and be different, don't they?
>>21976149Sure, if you separate the food. Do I look like a heathen?
>>21976149Why wouldn’t I? British food powered the greatest empire the world had ever seen. Hitler insisted the SS eat oatmeal every morning because he recognised its health benefits for the British soldiers (and as it turns out he was right, it’s testosterogenic). It’s all too easy to find a picture of gross looking food and troll /ck/ by saying “can you believe people eat this shit” but I tell you hwat the Brits conquered half the world eating it. Proof’s in the pudding, as they say.
>>21976156You're gonna struggle to get jellied eels anywhere mate
>>21976149You'd have to go out of your way to be able to acquire something like this.
>>21976156Jellied eels ate a Danish dish.
>>21976504Still one of the dishes I really want to try
>>21976149C O R RORR
>>21976508don't shatter the illusion it's all they have
>>21976149If I was in England I would try it.
>>21976297oatmeal is not takeaway nor is it even very popular now>>21976149no and i live hereyou might as well eat fried bowel cancer cysts
>>21976525if you live in or near a city all you have to do is go buy eel from an Asian grocery store and cut it up and boil it. jellied eel is literally just boiled eel. it's barely even a dish.
>>21976149the pinnacle of english cuisine is vomit on fries lmao
>>21977942Better if it's cooked properly. Don't know if I've seen eel at my local asian/Thai place either.
>>21976149(presumably) Steak pudding, mushy peas, chips and gravy? I'm a curry sauce man myself but I'd eat it.
>>21976525Eel is bland and the jelly literally just tastes like brine. You can literally just drink a bit of seawater and get the same taste.
>>21978460Please can you tell me where and when you ate jellied eels? I challenge you?
>>21976149OI IS THAT A BABBY'S YED THERE U GOT M8DID YA GET IT OVER IN WIGAN? THE PEA WET IS AS GOOD AS GRAVY THERE AYE
>>21978670It's crazy the level of boredom. It's like knuckle-draggers spacking out words on their industriallly reinforced keyboard. I'm despondent at the complete lack of imagination
