>>21978811you're buying swill
buy steak and cut a little fat offI don't trust anything else
>>21978811>italyyou bought EVOO tampered with and watered down by the mafia. congratulations you played yourself
>>21978845This, should avoid Italian products as much as Italian people.
Are any in-store olive oils worth it or do I have to order the good stuff? Any recs?
just buy the freshest one you can get your hands on
>>21978811All olive oil is fake. All of it. 100%. You literally cannot buy real olive oil in any store. Same thing with honey. Take OO and EVOO out of you diet completely because you're never going to get the real thing
>>21978811Don’t buy the yellow packaging store brand. Thats how they trap your soul into the reincarnation loop.
>>21978811That’s not actual olive oil, or at least not entirely. Good olive oils are something you have to search for because most big brands are just weird diluted oil mixtures with barely any olive in it.
>>21979032Nah.If in the U.S., buy EVOO with a COOC or Applied Sensory seal on the label.Olive oils with these seals have been lab-tested and verified as real by independent testers.
>>21978811The kirkland stuff is unironically great and priced decent. Single origin and everything. Maybe you just dislike olive oil
>>21979140Youre eating well. Imagine what bountiful feasts Allah will provide you once you suicide bomb. You will get to buy the named bacon products and more once Allah rewards you.
>>21978811Yo Yo Yo Yo YOOOOOO CALM THE FUCK DOWN BRO!
>>21979113if in the US just buy 100% American olive oil
>>21978811>badmaybe you just don't like the "peppery" flavor that olive oil can have? some of them can be milder and fruitier, the california olive oil i had was like that. but most of them have a peppery taste that i don't always like.>>21979108>most big brands are just weird diluted oil mixtures with barely any olive in it.no, it's more likely that you might be getting a lower quality regular olive oil sold as extra virgin. olive oil tampering does happen but it's not most olive oil.
>>21980307>pepperyone of the most reliable signs of premium high grade evoo due to elevated levels of oleocanthal
>>21978811Buy Portuguese or Greek Olive oil if you want something that tastes good
>>21978811Majority of "olive oil" in the states is 99.9% rapeseed oil. 0.1% rancid left over olive oil>but the package says-No legal requirement for it to be classed as olive oil

>>21981289Are you the same guy who claimed that all jamón iberico had to have a DOP stamp?

>>21980333checked knower. high quality olive oil should kind of burn at your throat.
I just pick brands that won multiple international awardsstarted branching into spanish oils and man some are beyond goodhaven't had much success finding greek ones that are as strong as Italian/spanish ones
>>21978811It has a powerful taste
>>21982502It's made from big olives
>>21978811Should be Grassy, bitter and peppery in throat. However, turns out it's bad with almost any food alone. The places where I've found it to work is tomato-based sauces and well seasoned chicken dishes. Boiling it for a while reduces the flavor but also reduces the health benefits. If you pour it on food fresh, it quickly overpowers other flavors.

>>21982525You sure sound like a real connoisseur...Protip: if your oil tastes likes shit, it is shit.>boilingUS folks seem to be really confused abour food and cooking, in general. It's quite strange.
