90% of ginger ale sucks.
1 good brand of hot ginger ale.
Only available in a small part of The South.
So so many people still drink and love the shitty stuff.
How is this a thing and have you ever had good hot ginger ail?
>>

Isn't Jamaican-style ginger ale supposed to be hot?
>>
>>21980887
Never had Jamaican style. Would be willing to try it on your recommendation.
>>
>>21980885
this stuff is good. most stuff labeled "ginger beer" is more reliably hotter than ginger ales. make sure there is actual ginger in the ingredients. reed's extra is okay. but your picrel is probably the hottest I've had.

I like that one and normal Reed's. I only got into the stuff because a certain supermarket has had them on clearance for months now, 75% off. I bought one of each to try as mixers and in cooking (ginger ale/beer grilled ribs are particularly nice) but they actually taste nice to just have as-is so we bought several cases.

Why is ginger beer a brewed drink and ginger ale a soda? Isn't ale a beer?

You're looking for ginger beer. Ginger ale is almost always mild. Ginger beer is more of a punch

Ginger beer is really just the good version of ginger ale. I don't know why you would use the latter except if GB would be too flavorful.
>>
>>21981160
Being to retarded to grasp why OP would ask that and it's a good question. The end of a rope is a good place for you.

spiciest im able to get.

how do i brew for spiceiness with ginger? i would like to make kombucha with similar taste profile. i assume they use syrup? i use fresh ginger and it's not near as spicy
>>
>>21980885
Get off it man! Picrel is literally the best soda drink EVER made.
>>
>>21981481
probably syrup extract. converting the gingerol to zingerone by heating in sugar and water and reducing to give it the sweet and hot flavor.
>>
>>21981235
>>21981244
You really need to try this stuff. Way more kick than any ginger beer I have ever had.
>>
>>21980885
bought a ginger "probiotic" like 12oz $4 thing from publix
taking a sip was like eating ginger, it was very good. vernors brand used to be a deep amber color and pungent
schweppes, vernor, canada dry, all pale bullshit. a drop of food coloring in club soda
>>
have you tried homemade ginger tea? You can make it with as much of a kick as you want. It's generally a winter drink for flu and colds, but you could just make iced ginger tea for the summer.

Try brewing ginger ale/beer at home with fresh ginger root. I know when people say "lol just cook bro" it's usually trolling or virtue signalling, but it's nearly as simple as toilet wine, and you can make it sinus-nukingly spicy, plus mildly alcoholic of course (for some reason commercial alcoholic ginger beer is impossible to find here except one British brand, Crabbie's, and even that is uncommon).

I've considered ordering Blenheim online.... but then I always remember hearing that Penn Jillette is a Blenheim superfan, and I picture his smug homosexual reddit mug and lose my appetite. (It's probably a huge hit with troons and anime enthusiasts though.)

Even though it contains no alcohol, in some States you must be 18 in order to purchase it. It is that strong. I've never been able to drink it without sneezing, it is one of the most heavily carbonated beverages on Earth
>>
>>21981855
vernors is garbage. i do not believe a single word of your post.
>>
>>21981498
Sugar water.
>>
>>21981834
Fuck you for telling me this faggot enjoys it
>>
>>21981824
Is it just ginger made like tea with a little sugar?
>>
>>21981860
It's unfortunately true. Some states have actually banned Vernors after all those kids died from sneezing attacks a few years ago, and even elsewhere it can be hard to find it because of protests outside the stores. Luckily I have a local connect, a "Vernors guy" if you will, but it takes him months to source it from his own "guy" in the Philippines, so now I have to save my stash for special occasions when I wanna get really fucked up on ginger ale.
>>
>>21981890
You're welcome anon, just imagine smirking Penn giving you a little pat on the head and some Reddit Gold with every sip.
>>
>>21981893
TL:DR version of ginger tea
- chop / shred ginger root
- boil water + ginger root for a few minutes
- add honey to soften the ginger kick.
- enjoy having your sinus unclog from ginger drano.

Adjust boiling time / amount of ginger to taste.

>>21980890
Reed’s extra strength ginger beer. you're welcome.

Its hot as in spicy, and it's ginger so I'm not going to explain how that isnt like peppers.
>>
>>21982009
I've never heard anyone calling ginger spicy before but I guess some people have really low tolerances.
>>
>>21982012
You haven't had good ginger. You are also still thinking of that word like peppers.
Maybe it's hard for ESL speakers to know how the word is being used.

My dealer, DeLarius, his favorite drink is Vodka and Vernors. But I can’t handle a drink that strong so I just drink straight up Vodka.

This is the strongest one I've had that's actually marketed as ginger ale. It's like a strong ginger beer.
>>
>>21982083
Does it come in adult sizes, or just those baby bottles?

More like Red Cuck amirite

Yes. The small 10oz glass bottles are stocked with cocktail mixers and the normal 12oz bottles are stocked with craft sodas, at least in my grocery store.
>>
>>21982073
DeLarius might be playing you, dawg. Remember when Spottemgottem and all those other gay rappers were taking photos swigging bottles of Vernors for the shock value, but it turned out they were just empty bottles refilled with Sunny D?

Anyway, I'm glad most social media finally banned Vernorposting, it was leading too many kids to try the real thing. In the end, nobody wins except the Kleenex Corporation (because of all the extra sneezing).

I tried the "Heritage" version that just uses cane sugar recently and I liked it.
>>

>>
>>21980885
I just want an absolute minimum sweetened one, no damn corn syrup.
>>
>>21982210
That is fine and good. But how punchy do you want the ginger?
Do you want enough to get the flavor = 1
Or
Do you want it to be hit like a concuntrate = 10
>>

>get some white bitch hooked on Vernors
>knock her up, abandon them

Lol, classic DeLarius!

Bought groceries a few days ago and got stuck in line between some fat sheboon and her squawking goblin brood. Of course customer service had to be called because her EBT card wasn't working. As they left one of her niglets stole a chocolate bar and the cashier shrugged. Such is life among ginger ale drinkers.

Ginger ale was invented by the Ir*sh and Can*dians as well.
>>
>>21982286
Nope.
Ginger ale requires good ginger too be good.
Bad ginger ail is sugar water.
Good ginger ail is expensive for cause.
Good ginger ail sorts out the whites on quality.
