What is /ck/'s rice cooker of choice?
Thinking about getting the $66 comfee compared to the $200 zojirushi.
>JUST COOK RICE IN THE PO-ACCKKK
Shut up mongrel.
>>
I cook rice in my pot.
>>
>>21981671
I have one big enough to do spaghetti in. Otherwise I would use it much less. It boils water but lets steam escape. It doesn't need high technology.
>>
>>21981671
This is a midea brand btw
>>
Get the Tiger micom
https://www.tiger-corporation.com/en/usa/product/rice-cooker/jbv-s10u-18u/
^THIS ONE RIGHT HERE

It's the best at its price point
I've said this so many times
nobody ever listens
>>
the bigger mongrel is the one who can't cook rice in a pot
>>
If you eat rice a lot you will not regret spending a little more. You don't need to go all out with the top zojirushi model but I'd probably spring for something better than "comfee" whatever the fuck that is

t. actually eats rice every day
>>
>>21981671
That seems like it has the features you want in a nice rice cooker but I don't know about trusting the Comfee brand. I think you can find good rice cookers by known brands like Toshiba for $100 or so but they might be slightly more expensive now. I got a Toshiba fuzzy logic cooker for around $100 on Amazon around five years ago and it makes perfect rice and other grains every time. I eat rice or other grains almost everyday so a good rice cooker was a no brainer for me. The fuzzies work much, much better than the cheapo cookers, and stove top cooking can be a pain if you eat a ton of rice and other grains like quinoa.
>>
I don't eat rice all that often but I'm still extremely tempted to get one just for all the one pot meals. Am I retarded?
I do fucking love rice don't get me wrong
>>

>I don't eat rice often
>I'm tempted to get one
>Am I retarded?
Yes, you are retarded. Getting a premium rice cooker for one pot meals is retarded. Why not get something like an Insta Pot which is made for one pot meals?

I was thinking about getting this one. Anyone have any experience with it?
>>
Instant Pot
you can make a perfect pot of rice by using a 1:1 ratio of water:rice by volume
>>
>>21981941
No. If you're going to use it primarily for cooking rice you should get a good rice cooker.
>>
>>21981951
Thx anon.
>>21981938
What's a good instapot to get? I'm mainly going to be doing beans chilli and rice occasionally.
>>
>>21981938
Not a premium one you faggot like $60 ish dollars Jesus Christ how poor are you?
>>
>>21981871
>Toshiba
That's also a midea believe it or not.
I can't tell if comfee is supposed to be a subbrand of toshiba or midea but they're all related.
>>
>>21981671
I had a cheap $20 one with just the on/off switch for 7 years. Replaced it with a $150 Zoji. Probably will buy another $20 one unless I can find a bowl for the Zoji once it gets scratched.
tldr get a cheap one
>>
The Po-acckkk? Is that a common piece of equipment?
>>
What about the British market? I can only find zojirushi and maybe 1 tiger, all at £200+ but they're all that weird metal with black, utilitarian. The one linked >>21981700 at least would fit my kitchen. But I can't find it.
>>
>>21981671
>Japstuff, not made in China

That's it. Shouldn't need more than 3 cups for personal use. You don't need any features.

I bought one called yum Asia 6 years ago.
Works great
>>
>>21982459
Kek the icon is a picture of a girl in the doggystyle position. The circle is her head, the second ring is her arms, and the last ring is her legs. Yum Asia itself already sounds very sketchy because Asian food isn’t very tasty. The power button icon is also a vagina slit, it’s like a metaphor about pussy being a source of energy for humans. And, he makes us put our finger into the icon to power the device. Every picture on that thing was designed by lucifer, just like all the other rice cookers. He’s so fucking cheap that he uses pictures and words to hurt us, and says it makes more money or something. I don’t know the full story about why he draws pornography on everything, it’s not really that annoying honestly I’m just kinda worked up because he’s been in my house for a long time. I’m having a really hard time right now, lucifer has been goring my penis daily for around 12 years and set it up so if I’m screaming from the goring of my penis, people will inject me and call me schizophrenic. Fucking clever system (not really),
>>
>>21982459
I've had the exact same model for 2 years now. Can also confirm it works great.

>>21982469
>Asian food isn’t very tasty.
sounds like you're just a cooklet.
>>
>>21981671
What is the idea of such a cooker outside SE-Asia or a restaurant? If you not feed a family from morning to evening with rice it makes no sense to me. Needs a lot of space, must be cleaned, cannot put in dishwasher, not stackable like a pot and has only one purpose. Me just put rice:water 1:1 + salt in a pot ( cast iron to avoid chrome outwashing from stainless ones), set the inductive to 120°C for 2 minutes and after the beep to 80° for. Works perfect and there is no additional machine i have to take care off.
>>
>>21981671
get the best you can. zojirushi will last your your whole life.
>>
>>21982553
>cannot put in dishwasher
the bowl comes out and is non-stick and really only needs a dunk and a wipe in the washing up bowl. you're however right about the size and oppressive nature of the machine in your kitchen.
>>
I got the black and decker 6 cup rice cooker off Amazon. It's a little wider than I would like, but no other complaints. I use it for brown rice.
>>
>>21982469
What are your thoughts on the wifi icon?
>>
>>21982553
What kind of inbred flyover hick thinks there's no one who eats rice every day outside of vietnam and malaysia
>>
>>21982737
I was surprised when I learnesd rice was major crop in revolutionary South Carolina. I always imagined rice farming as women in Chinese sombreros harvesting in ankle deep water.

>Hitachi
This is my favorite.
It’s cheaper than other Japanese brands, the coating on the pot is extremely durable, and it’s made in Japan.
