Why is the ranch dressing at every shitty wings shop or pizza joint 1000x better than anything you can buy or make at home?
>>21982379It isn't. You just SUCK at making ranch.
They make theirs with love while you are full of hate and so is your ranch dressing.
>>21982379>"poop from this trough is better than poop from this other trough."
>>21982379So I was looking up Ranch dessing the ohter day and found out Clorox company owns it, and the Clorox website has a whole ass page dedicated to the packaging and flavor history of the Ranch dressing product line. A bunch of products that are closer to the original Ranch dressing, mostly the dry seasoning packets that you have to actually mix into buttermilk and/or sour cream, are not sold to retail but are sold to "food service channels". So restaurants can get the good stuff, the real stuff, and you can't buy it.
>>21982379>>21982915>you can't buy itYou can literally buy Wingstop ranch. It's just Hidden Valley Restaurant Style made with thick mayo and 3% buttermilk.Scaling the recipe down from the buckets they use it works out to 2/3 cup mayo and 2/3 cup buttermilk per 0.4 ounce packet, or 1 cup mayo 1 cup buttermilk per 1.5 packets.
>>21982379Buy the packets of powder, mix with buttermilk and mayo. I assume the premade stuff has a preservative that fucks it up, because I thought the same as you for years.
>>21982948NAILED IT if your a crazy person just put a tiny bit of msg then BOO YA
>>21982379>1000x better than anything you can buy or make at home?well it's not because the hidden valley you make with mayo and milk is the best you can get, but also restaurant ranch is loaded with msg.
>>21982379I'm guessing it's like how restaurants use "Extra Heavy" mayo which you can't get in regular grocery stores. They have their own supply chains.
