Chips don't look great mate. I'd get them sent back. I like oven cooked sausages. Hoping you didn't pay more than a 10er.

Steak cut, out of the bag, but pale. Will have a bit of a paste like texture. I suppose will be alright top mop the yolks up with.

>Steak cut,
Sounds like you are American.

British chips are often this colour but they look like they are fried in a conventional pan rather than oven chips.

British chips taste VERY different than American 'French Fries' when they come from a Chippy as the friers are dedicated and it's done slightly differently, as opposed to a pub kitchen, which it looks like here.

>These are steak cut chips
OPs chips just look like . . . .Chips, similar to what my mother used to make.

They could well be from a packet but I don't think they are worthy of sending back and I don't think anybody would.

You sound like you have a weak constitution dear fellow. I'm sorry to hear that.
>>
>>21983143
OK. Sorry if I've offended anyone, but when I get chips like that I want them cooked enough(deep fried) for a decent crunch and to take the mushiness away.
>>
>>21983119
OP's look exactly like the steak cut fries we Americans can get at the grocery store thoughever.

>OK. Sorry if I've offended anyone
No offence taken.

But it's unlikely you will get 'crunch' from British chips, well maybe a bit.

If you go to a British chippy, you will probably find them 'soggy' and in many cases they are compared to American type 'French Fries' but the taste is very different, it's kind of a different thing entirely.

>>21983152
Yeah they're real potatoes though, so you can enjoy the texture
>>
>>21983151
Everybody can get different sorts of fries in a grocery store, America is not special.
>>
>>21983158
>America is not special.
