New York style is the best and I’m genuinely tired of pretending it isn’t. Get a grip.

Needs more parm.
>>
Literally everyone knows it's the best and literally nobody pretends that it isn't.

>New York style
It’s literally your bog standard margherita pizza, jew
>>
>>21987752
That is not margherita style
>>
>>21987745
nobody thinks it isn't besides local yokels getting supremacist over their regional cuisine

NY is a default because its got a decent ratio of crust to cheese. But here in America there are a variety of foods and you don't need to eat the exact same style of food every time. Turns out OP, if you'd like to try something else even if you think its not as good as your favorite, you can. You're also not compelled to eat anything else, but thanks for sharing your opinion on pizza.

I enjoy a good Detroit style. Its hard to get right, but when its right I love it. I also love NY style since its a much lighter lunch. I've had a few pan pizzas that are often terrible. I'm lucky and found a pan or regular hand stretched thats really good though. I've only had 1 less than excellent pizza from them in the last 8 years.

i like detroit style. i just buy the frozen ones because restaurants sell them for like $25 per pizza since i dont live in detroit.

Get a double grip

Yeah, they're expensive because they're simply more food, need a special pan, take twice as long to cook, sometimes uses a difference tangy sauce too. They're always expensive but when they're good like Buddy's, Unos, or Jets, I'd gladly pay $30 for a pizza. Caesar's is a fast food analogue of a detroit style, servicable but I'd agree with you the frozen ones are better than LC's at basically the same price.

Once you find the right pan, Detroit style is so easy to make. It is just so dependent on that pan though

The secret to the most perfect and authentic New York style pizza is the slice has to marinate in the surrounding miasma of fat italian guy cheese farts and rat urine.

I'm happy I live in a country where I don't have to choose and can just get whatever type of pizza I want, be it actual real pizza, american "pizza", chicago style casserole or whatever else is out there.
>>
>>21987745
why would you ever pretend it wasn't?
>>
For me, it's the margherita with prosciutto from a specific medium-sized Italian sit-down chain in Rome

this but unironically, and red pepper flakes
>>
>>21987875
the red pepper is nasty when it’s old though
>>
>>21987745
The only problem, and this isn't NYC's fault, is that you can hardly find slice shops outside the city. Northeast corridor, sure. Middle America? Good fucking luck and you have to drive to it anyway.
>>
>>21987745
needs red pepper, a root beer, and a side of blue cheese.
if you @ me about ranch i will actually rape you.

Its a nice optional contrast to Neapolitan but if it was the only pizza style that existed, pizza wouldn't be nearly as popular.
>>
looks like shit nigger
>>
>>21987745
a few days ago i had a pizza that was not greasy at all, i think not being drenched in nasty grease is much more important than what style pizza it is tbdesu
>>
>>21987745
Many times yes HOWEVER the Sicilian deep dish at my local Albanian place has better bread than the standard jew yοrk style.
>>
I had one of these before. Flavourless and the dough was chewy in an unpleasant way.
>>
>>21989242
Sounds like you went to a bad place. I recommend going to a good place.
>>
>>21987745
I think the Neapolitan and greek ‘za is the best but I don’t discredit any other style of pizza. They’re on opposite ends of the spectrum but that’s what I like about each of them. Same fore Curley and Crinkle cut fries

>>21988091
my man, where do you get this?
>>
>>21987745
Eating crust first is literally the most retarded thing I've ever seen in my life though.
>>
>>21987745
thats looks like decent nyc street pie.
>>
>>21988137
nah, this pie is why pizza is popular
neapolitan is why pizza is adored.
>>
>>21989802
No, he's just being a contrarian. Even if he had a dollar slice it would still have been great given the price. Also note, he's judging a whole style of pizza off of a slice he had once.
