The plant in Latrobe closed years ago, maybe decades ago. Rolling Rock is now owned by AB-Inbev or a similar cartel, manufactured out-of-state in a facility alongside dozens of other formerly-regional American lager brands, until they can squeeze the last few pennies out of old customer nostalgia.

Even if Yuengling hasn't "sold out" yet, they expanded production outside PA as part of nationwide expansion, and there have been quality complaints.

There's no escaping this anymore, drink what you like, just don't let ((them)) cuck you into paying for a label, like how American weebs buy "import" Sapporo that is indeed imported.... from Canada.

The brewing plant in Latrobe is still in business, just not brewing Rolling Rock.
At one point is brewed Samuel Adams Boston Lager, as well as brewing the firmer production of US made Red Stripe beer.

>Even if Yuengling hasn't "sold out" yet, they expanded production outside PA as part of nationwide expansion, and there have been quality complaints.
Yuengling is concerned about the bottom line, and the owner basically said at one point that “national distribution” wasn’t really a thing for Yuengling, because of the lower profit margins on canned and bottled beer, and the higher percentage of spoilage when shipping longer distances.
Basically, selling beer by the keg had more profit, which is the reason Yuengling used to have much more limited distribution.
After pissing off the liberals in PA, it seems Yeungling needed to expand distribution to maintain sales though, so buying a brewery in Florida, and arranging a production and distribution agreement with Coors, was likely to limit distribution spoilage, and expand to areas which won’t get pissed off about Yeungling’s political leanings.

The US made Red Stripe was fine.
Budweiser actually supplies the yeast for their beer, no matter were else in the world it is produced.

I wouldn't say it sucks but it's incredibly unremarkable and anyone who praises the beer I assume hasn't tried many other beers. The price to quality ratio is fine. I'd say it's the dominos carryout special of beer

i always thought it was about the best of the cheaper beer options desu, although it always tasted better out of a can for some reason
