has anyone been to a food cult restaurant? horror stories? cool stories? lame stories?ive thought about going to picre for a while but havent yet. been thinking about setting off like 3 cases of stink bombs in their bathroom before leaving
All the coolest cults have inside jokes roasting their own members on their websites
>>21990271You live in the mountains? I like the kebab place a bit up the road. I used to go there on my break every day
>>21990271Qrd?
>>21990360Restaurant in the blue mtns nsw that is run by a cult called the 12 tribes. Everyone that works there are cult members who don’t get payed and all the revenue gets kicked up to the american leaders or whatever. I’ve eaten there a couple times. The food is really good and homely. Very of amish looking in there.
I've been to a few Hare Krishna joints. Food was good, vegetarianism considering. Also, my wife buys Celestial Seasonings because of course she does.
>>21990364Uh…Amish?
>>21990271i went there with my ex :(
>>21990454Aussies don't know what Amish is.>>21990521Broken tamagotchis are not exes.
>>21990272The guy who added that space in the middle of dumbwaiter probably thought he was a genius.
>>21990454A strange sect of Christianity in America that rejects a lot of modernity. They're usually really mean to animals because they treat them like tools, but they make some really good dairy and wood products
>>21990555checkedI for one had never heard of this until you pointed it outdo you work in the food service industry? despite being very interested in it, i had never heard of the term until now
>>21990393the hare krishna temple near me serves the best indian food in the area. it's like a completely different cuisine.
>>21990271I like to get my thetan levels checked out while smashing down some pancakes and hash browns.I guy I knew had a sister who worked there and was killed in a bus accident on the way to some Scientology function that her managers coerced her into attending.
>>21991738>I guy I knew had a sister who worked there and was killed in a bus accident on the way to some Scientology function that her managers coerced her into attending.Amazing and well thought out LARP, retard. Your brains would be more useful splattered against your fucking walls.
>>21990358Gorgeous scenery
>>21991738Anyone who is joining scientology in todays world is a complete idiot. Theres open proof showing theyre a bunch of nutjobs. At least with the masons they know how to hide their evil, but thats also due to the fact that theyre global. As for indian, i love dosas and mint chutney. Curry of course is really good, as well as paneer. Ive never met anyone who wanted to eat indian so ive never really had the opportunity. Also nothing close by either.
>>21991739It doesnt sound like a larp at all. Rashada Jones situation gave scientology away. Fuck "secret" societies.
>>21991747>Non-scientologists trying to convert their own followers into believing scientology >Instead of trying to convince their followers that their current cult is superior to scientology You're both extremely fucking retarded LMAO. Like, you guys could probably apply for financial assistance for a mental disability. The nukes can't wipe you subhumans out fast enough.
>>21991745I'm a Mason. And a Moose and an Eagle. They're just fucking drinking clubs. Local lodges you can sometimes still smoke in depending on the state. The "secret rituals" are just when you join up and recite some lines in a basement while raising your hand and maybe wearing a robe or necklace or hat or being surrounded by members in some of those things. None of your extremist conspiracy beliefs are true at all. It's all quite boring aside from the drinking and the gambling rules that are different inside. And guess what. YOU can totally join any of those clubs and see for yourself. You can even join the legion if your dad served in the armed forces. They can get you in. They always need new members. Fraternal lodges have been dying off for years. They were so huge from the 50s through the 90s. Scientology is totally different though. But you can easily join them also. Only a lunatic would.
>>21991739Not a larp.>>21991745This was at least 25+ years ago that I was hanging out with this guy, and the accident was at least a few years before that, so mid-late 90s. I don't think she actually joined, but his parents were seething about the CoS a lot and I thought it was a bit crazy that they linked her death to them when it just sounded like a normal bus accident that happened when she was on her way to a work function. They insisted that the work function was actually a Scientology run event. I didn't fully put two and two together until a couple of years later when I found out that the Pancake Parlour was founded by Scientologists, and I heard from some other people that worked there that told me that upper management were almost always Scientologists that would occasionally try to recruit employees into the church.
>>21990271The cookies are never free. Best to avoid them (and other) cults.
>>21991768>None of your extremist conspiracy beliefs are true at allwhy do the elites want to strip us of every ounce of wonder and whimsy we have left
>>21991634dumbwaiters are kind of a relic from the past. theyre generally found in very old buildings kind of like laundry chutes
>>21991948I don't think they do. These "elites", if they really want to control the world and get richer or whatever it is you believe about them, they'd try to keep us happy. What "wonder and whimsy" are you being deprived of?Aren't there more cartoons and videogames and complete wastes of time for you to watch than ever? Are the breakfast cereals and snacks and energy drinks not colorful enough or advertised with enough panache for you?Just what the fuck do you think is going on? I think the elites want to strip us of our freedoms and our money. It's with stupid products filled with "wonder and whimsy" that they'll keep you distracted as they continue to do so.
>>21991768>legionworked a season there for community service hours. lol. everything from deep frying fish night to laying out the silverware on tablesmiss aspects of it in a weird way
>>21991638I've not been to the temple proper, just their restaurants. There's one Hare Krishna restaurant in Philadelphia that does a surprisingly good vegetarian (not vegan) cheesesteak.
>>21991959One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants is three storeys and uses a dumbwaiter to get pho up from the first floor kitchen to the second and third floor dining areas (when they're busy and need to open them) without spillage.
>>21991790>Not a larpOh, so when you said "guy I knew had a sister who worked there (The Yellow Deli)" you were actually talking about a different place that isn't The Yellow Deli and also wasn't mentioned in your post.
>>21992599Are you or have you ever been associated with, or a member of, the yellow deli or any of its derivative or sister clubs
>>21992599I wasn't talking about the Yellow Deli. I posted the pic of my food cult restaurant.>mention eating pancakes>post pic of Pancake Parlour logo>mention that it was 25+ years ago long before The Yellow Deli existed and specifically name Pancake Parlour in the follow up post that you just replied to>somehow you still can't figure it outSorry guv, I didn't realise that I would need to spell everything out for literal retards that need to be spoonfed.
>>21991984>It's with stupid products filled with "wonder and whimsy" that they'll keep you distracted as they continue to do so.how am i supposed to be distracted when theyre inserting wokeslop into every new product on the market?
>>21991993>There's one Hare Krishna restaurant in Philadelphia that does a surprisingly good vegetarian (not vegan) cheesesteak.yeah theyre pretty cool about adapting western recipes to veg without it being shitty. the one near me makes a pretty good nutloaf (fake meatloaf), lasagna, and enchiladas. maybe it's because half of them are white.
>>21990364We are NOT a cult!
>>21990271I used to hang out and smoke weed in their garden with friends and chug beers. Their shit had no staff around half of the week but they didnt mind ppl just hanging out anyway. One friend of mine got invited to go watch a wedding out at their farm, and he said it was lots of weird culty shit going on, like Amish vibes but creepy and not wholesome. The slaves working at Yellow Deli were always weird, shuffling around with heads down like they werent allowed to think or feel for themselves and the food was weird hippie shit no-one's ever heard of, but good on you if you want cous-cous salads and anonymous bowls of chickpea soups.
>>21991768>They always need new members. Fraternal lodges have been dying off for years.Been staying with a boomer relative and was surprised to see the Mason’s running commercials on cable tv about joining up, kind of takes away the allure
>>21992735If mandatory payments/relinquishing of property is involved, it’s a cult
>>21993194The food is pretty normal and tastes very quality. I’ve eaten a Rueben with chips and a pickle, pumpkin soup and their garden salad with pickled banana peppers and it’s all good. But I wouldn’t go back again now that I know the story
