Why are so many Arby's closing?
>>
Because they are shit like most fast food chains but not ingrained enough like mcdonalds to charge $15 for a terrible meal
>>
>>21990570
I read where there is a public perception that Arbys is more expensive than other fast food places. That used to be true, but now that everywhere else went up in price so much, they are about middle of the pack. I like their curly fries and used to get their 5/$5 roast beefs back in the day...but none of their specialty items ever appeal to me, especially when they try dumb shit like "wagyu burgers"
>>
>>21990568
Ohh, sorry. Want me to open some back up?
>>
>>21990568
Extreme poverty drove people to give up on luxuries. Food is just the last luxury to go. All restaurants will follow.
>>
>>21990568
i've only had arby's 4-5 times.
i'm 42 years old.
>>
>>21990568
I wonder if it has anything to do with the cost of beef. Beef is crazy expensive now and I imagine restaurant suppliers have to be feeling it as much as consumers, and just absorbing losses. Oscar Mayer can charge $10 for a pack of beef bologna, but if McD's tried charging $10 for, like, one of their plain cheeseburgers, they're done.
>>
>>21990579
their reuben is supposed to be very solid.
>>
>>21990674
>the cost of beef
and how does this affect arbys?
>>
>>21990749
Their gyros are also pretty good in my opinion
>>
>>21990750
Arby's buys a lot of beef.
>>
>>21990750
are you retarded?
>>
>>21990568
You used to be able to get 5 Roast Beef sandwiches for $5 or 5 Roast Beef with Cheese for $6.
Now you get one for $5.
>>
>>21990772
2002 was 37 years ago. Inflation has been bringing prices up.
>>
>>21990772
Those were the days :(
>>
>>21990768
are you? arby’s is not selling 100% pure beef, brainlette
>>
>>21990568
Ready to settle down
>>
>>21990796
Even if it were just mostly beef, that's a lot of beef for Arby's to buy. Unless you think it's not even beef, in which case, please, don't reproduce
>>
>>21990803
okay, now i don’t think it’s even beef and you should stop thinking about my balls
>>
>>21990809
i love your balls. slurp slurp slurp
>>
>>21990810
hey you’re the guy that did the “how many sugers do you put in your pepsi” in the other thread! i’m a fan of your work!
>>
arbys taste greasy and dry. they expect you to drown everything in sodium sauce.
>>
>>21990803
lighten up
>>
>>21990568
I have only been to place 3 times. Each time I have explosive diarrhea, worse than taco bell, which I only had twice. Arby's can rot for all I care.
>>
Because their core business is beef sandwiches. Even if they are blending it with other meats, they've always been about the beef.
>>
>>21990753
I thought the same till I got food poisoning off one. Never again with their food except curly fries. Sometimes I swing and get that then go to a local roast beefery named Lions Choice for the roast beef sandwich.
>>
>>21990890
you have a gastrointestinal disease
>>
>>21990568
It seems all my family went to Arby's because of the coupons. Idk, I just always remember somebody having an Arby's coupon they'd clipped from someplace and that was the incentive to go.
Now app discounts seem to get most of their attention, which every fast food place has.

Dunno, I used to live like 100 yards away from one when I first moved out of my parent's house into a new place and went there all the time. Between the hours of 2PM-5PM which was right when I got off from work their sliders menu were $1 each and I would get 4 or 5 and some fries, their buffalo chicken sliders were fire. Also a fan of their Fench Dip & Swiss, their dipping sauce was good. Never got the hate.

>>21990568
gee... I wonder why?
>>
>>21990938
my friend with a completely normal ga tract had explosive diarrhea after being to taco bell once in his entire life (it was in the us)
>>
>>21990568
The last time I had Arby's the Black gentleman manning the drive-thru window didn't give me the cheese sauce I paid extra for. I went through the complaint form on their corporate website to complain but after spending 20 minutes filling it out, it gave me an error when I tried to submit.
The time before that their mozzarella sticks gave me diarrhea at a rest stop during a road trip. All my friends were upset with me because I added an extra 45 minutes to our travel time even though it wasn't my fault.

>>
>>21990568
I think it has something to do with the bad taste and low quality of their food.
>>
Why the fuck would anyone buy arby’s overpriced roast beef sandwich when you can just buy straight from the deli and have a lower risk of a wagie fucking with it?
You have to be retarded to drive there just to pay a wagie to put $.5 worth of roast beef on bread. Like nigger really?
>>
>>21991586
Pretty much this. It’s way cheaper at the deli with meats that are 10x the quality and even more if you go to a “fancy” one. Arby’s is shit
>>
>>21990568
Well Steve, it's a recession indicator

Don't worry about it
>>
>>21991359
fire is millennial slang, grandpa
>>
>>21990568
I always mention Arby's got their start in my city. Sad to see it go. But I think its because they overcharge for everything.
>>
>>21990749
>>21990753
Both true
>>
>>21991340
Eh, I like it. Probably because I'm biased being from Boardman.
>>
>>21990957

Bottom one looks way tastier.

the only thing that looks appealing are the fries
>>
Because people don’t want to pay 12 bucks for that ugly slop heap you posted
>>
>>21990568
Men have figured out the folly of chasing roast beef.
>>
>>21992732
Evidently you haven't figured out the art of humor.
>>
>>21990570
What a faggot
>>
>>21990568
Arbys is just grim. McDick's mystery soy slop meat is bad enough, but fake soy roast beef is ten times worse. I'm not even sure what kind of person chooses to go to Arbys.
>>
>>21990803
There's almost no beef in their roast beef. It's all corn, soy, and filler.
>>
>>21992734
Shut up faggot.
>>
>>21992880
You know you can find the ingredients list, right? It's beef, water, salt, and sodium phosphate. Yes, it's chopped and formed and comes in a big bag. It's roasted overnight and used the next day. I used to work at an Arbys, so I know my shit. The real reason so many Arbys are closing are overhead costs. Something like 70% of locations are franchises.
>>
>>21990568
Probably because they're owned by Roark capital and they want to make money and write offs help them make money.

So that's why they left Manhattan? You'd think they'd want a presence there.

>Why are so many Arby's closing?
Millennials and zoomers ruin everything good
>>
>>21990940
The Arby's in my hood accepts expired coupons. I used one last week from 2023.
>>
>>21990654
there used to be an Arby's in the shopping mall back in late 1980s, i loved it, the Super Roast Beef is forever associated with that era in my mind. the mall is dead now
