Juice is so tasty. Why does it have to be bad for you? :(
I don't really think it is
>>21993148Vitamins bad for you?
>>21993148>Why does it have to be bad for you?In what galaxy is vitamin C bad?
>>21993169>>21993172It's like 99% sugar
>>21993179It's 88% water and only 8% sugar, with beneficial nutrients like vitamin C, potassium, antioxidants, and phytonutrients.
It's not that bad, if you only drink a cup or two.
>be child>don't like apple, orange, or grape juice>didn't like milk, or chocolate milkshit sucked. didn't even like sunny d
>>21993148Just do half water half OJ. Balances it out
>>21993306this, or just limit your intake. the main problem with juice is that it's easy to consume more than you would with whole fruit so while 1-2 oranges might satisfy you it's easy to consume 6+ in a glass of juice. even then unless you have digestive issues from it, if you're not overweight or diabetic, the problems associated with drinking juice may be minimal on overall health and it's not equivalent to just drinking soda despite having a similar sugar content.
>>21993319Basically just make it a breakfast thing. Wouldn't really drink it through the day as can be rough on the stomach
>>21993148just drink freshly squeezed juice, you only get natural sugars that way
>>21993148because it's literally just a bunch of sugar and water. eat fruit or smoothiesor just drink it in moderation you fat fuck>>21993390fructose is more unhealthy than sucrose
>>21993191>only 8% sugar
>>21993148If it's freshly squeezed, it has a lot of beneficial health factors jammed into it, there's no problemIf you're chugging on boxed juices, they're basically flavored sugar water, there is a problemPlease ignore the demonic sugar influencers
Do Americans even drink cardinals/squashes or just straight up juice?
>>21993464Cordial*
>>21993172Fat Retard OP is referring to the way you will gain weight if you chug a gallon of juice and spend most of your life sitting around.
>>21993466>>21993464Not ones mixed at home, no, and they call them juice drinks or _____ juice cocktail rather than squash, cranberry juice cocktail being likely the most common.
>>21993404>fructose is more unhealthy than sucroseI looked at a study recently that said there wasn't really any difference between fructose and glucose when consumed in excess. But orange juice is mostly equal parts sucrose, fructose, and glucose. And sucrose is half fructose and glucose.
>>21993169nuked in pasteurization
I don't understand all of the people in this board moaning about Juice having too much sugar, just don't add the fucking sugar you dumb faggots. Are you all just plebs who buy packaged juice from the store?
>>21993564Closeted /pol/fags hate that it sounds like “jews” so they have a deep-rooted bias against it
>>21993564It’s literally just trolls who think shitting up /ck/ with misinformation is somehow entertaining
>>21993564>just don't add the fucking sugar you dumb faggotsWhat do you mean? It's naturally high in sugar, about the same level as a soda even without added sugar. Whether that's necessarily bad or not might be up for debate but it's still high in sugar.
>>21993179Not a problem if you understand consuming in moderation, fatty
>>21993580It's just fruit and water nigger. You get the same amount of sugar from freshly squeezed juice as you get from the actual fruit (unless you think that water has sugar), 4 oranges is all it takes to make a good amount of juice for a single man, unless you are diabetic you shouldn't be worrying about sugar in fruits, and if you are just drink juice from low sugar fruits you dumb fucking nigger.
>>21993148Can OJ be used properly as an ingrediant?I know its used in jamaican sauces but what else is there?
>>21993644It just didn't seem to make much sense to say don't add sugar when people talk about juice being high in sugar. It is high in sugar although I don't necessarily think sugar is inherently harmful. You'd probably be better off just saying that sugar isn't necessarily bad rather than talking about adding sugar to orange juice. And honestly, if you talked to me like this in person, we'd have a BIG problem pal.
>>21993653sugar can burn your tongue if it's concentrated enough
>>21993652orange juice concentrate is used in salad dressings
>>21993564wtf are you even talking aboutfruit already has sugar in it you dumb fuck, that's why it's sweet, what kind of psycho would add sugar to their orange juice???
>>21993661strawberries have sugaradding whole fruit to juice is a common thing
>>21993655Yeah I've noticed that very sugary foods will burn my throat too. But that's more of an issue of eating a lot of concentrated sugar in a single bite and not having enough saliva to mix with it. Concentrating and consuming a lot of things can cause problems.
>>21993665wow funny they burn my throat toomostly shit like pure caramel and and chocolate
>>21993657oh yeah what are they called spring salads?I bet you dipping your buttered and toasted bagels in orange juice is tasty
>>21993148Everything is bad for you.
>>21993653We are in agreement about not all sugars being harmful then, i should've talked about that in my original post instead of going into a frenzy, and when i say to not add sugar i mean to not increase the sugar content of the drink by adding sugar if you are that worried about high amounts of it.I'm just tired of all the juice slander i see on this board from people who buy poison from Walmart. Sorry if i offended you but such is the way one has to write their posts in this place to get their point across, people here on 4twitterchan won't read what you have to say nowadays unless you are overly aggressive.>>21993661I've seen plenty of people here in Yurop adding sugar to homemade juice. I can't speak for America but most people i've seen making juice no matter what fruit they're using always add a spoonful of sugar or two, and i'm also pretty sure that at Restaurants that actually freshly make juice that they also add sugar whenever they make juice.
>>21993671throwup is bad for you
>>21993669maybe if they are the 'lite' sugar option
>>21993674where the fuck do you live you maniac??are you sure that's not lemonade?never in my life have I seen someone squeeze a glass of orange juice and put sugar in itthat sounds fucking preposterous, like salting a plate of already very salty cheese
>>21993674>I've seen plenty of people here in Yurop adding sugar to homemade juice. Is it not to just balance out that fruit can vary in sweetness? I've never seen anyone add sugar to juice in America.
OJ is too sweet already.
>>21993686mixing cranberry and OJ is pretty good
>>21993682Pretty sure it wasn't only on Lemonade, i was mostly talking about other juices e.g., Strawberry, Pineapple, Mango. I've never actualy seen anyone adding sugar to Orange Juice except when i went to South America, but the Oranges they had there also looked like pic related, so maybe they added it due to those Oranges not having much taste.>>21993683It's probably that. But i'm not talking about a lot of sugar, just a small spoonful of it. I've personally never used any sugar myself when making juice so i couldn't really tell you why people do it.
>>21993148same amount of sugar as soda.pasteurized so they have to add the vitamin C back in to it.
>>21993721oranges have enough vitamin c that it still contains a decent amount after pasteurization
>>21993148>Why does it have to be bad for you?when?
>>21993464in english?
>>21993652Feijoada, a brazilian stew with several types of meat, black beans, and orange juice
>>21993148It is more that a cup of orange juice actually contains MULTIPLE orange worth of ingredients. So it is really easy to basically overeat/overdrink the amount you should be consuming daily. This is actually the MAIN ISSUE with ultra-processed food, since it is extremely easy to consume too much of 'nutrients'.
sugar is good you brainwashed fat cunts. Why do you think animals choose to eat the sweetest fruits and none of them are obese like you fat retards?
>>21993769It is more this issue: >>21993757Basically factory foods are way too dense, and yet our body doesn't register that we are eating too much of specific components, compared to say eating a natural piece of fruit, which also contains other important nutrients like fiber that juice lacks.
>>21993757Orange juice is not "ultra processed" you fucking retard. >>21993319>it's easy to consume 6+ in a glass of juice.I forget there are people who have no control of themselves. I drink about 150ml of juice every single afternoon. That's it. No more than that single serving. My diet is kind of autistically regimented. Juice and a piece of fruit every afternoon. Coffee with milk at precisely 10.15 every morning. A granola bar every morning after my run. And a fucktonne of produce the rest of the day. Also some meat and/or seafood. Rinse and repeat.
>>21993769Animals eat fruit when it's in season. They get fibre, vitamins and a diverse diet. These retards gobble down bottles of concentrated sugar and eat apples in Spring. We're in Spring now, do you see any apples hanging on trees? Of course you don't. Who in their right mind would eat an apple that's been stored for 6 months straight? Not even an animal would do such a stupid thing unless it was being held captive. But these lunatics do. They're even wonder why none of us are doing it, and why we're not fat and unhealthy like them.
i juiced my own apples, oranges, beets and the resulting juice was so fucking good it tasted like god superfood. juicing is a pain in the ass though and a lot of work and mess. I want to add carrots to the next batch I make.
>>21993807>Animals eat fruit when it's in season.there are always some fruits in season in tropical climates.
>>21993417That isnt a problem if you arent a subhuman land whale with no self control like you. I can have a glass of juice a day and not want any more than that.
STOP DRINKING JUICE
>>21993769their tummies digest it better
>>21993148>Juice is so tasty. Why does it have to be bad for you?most foods that humans like are bad for you in large amounts. a glass of orange juice is like eating 4 or 5 oranges.
>>21995171it's like eating 5 oranges with none of the fiber, which is 90% of the healthiness value of fruit.
>>21993148Nice b7 m7
