Fellow ketotards, I have perfected the psyllium husk bread/chips.The normal rising of psyllium buns was rubbery and nasty, so I tried making crunchy bread instead, and I have figured it out.Mix it with cold water and blend with a fork, don't mix too much so the fiber gets pressed into itself, then place and spread on a baking sheet so it can maintain a form. It doesn't expand.200c for 20m or so in an airfryer. In the dry powder you can mix in spices.Depending on your mix you can get nice and chewy bread substitute as well as very crunchy like potato chips. Getting 30g+ of fiber is never going to get easier than this.

That looks pretty good but effort taking.I tried keto but it's too damn restricting for me. Can't even have white beans with my omelette, which is one of my favourite combos
The problem with ketotards is a lot of you refuse to change your diet. You switch to low carb yet you’re still trying to find ways to eat all the bullshit your did before. Pizza, burger, tacos, hotdogs. Try actually enjoying some fresh and simple ingredients.
>>21994972Kys.>>21994980Depending on person to person, you can eat like 20g of carbs a day. There's ways to check if you're in ketosis or not.Definitely get through the first month of keto, things change for the better. Get a ton of electrolytes through supplements, it's the main cause of brain fog.>>21994985That's because those things are commonly liked by a majority, of course you want to make fancy food. There's nothing without carbs that are as crunchy as potato chips, and I just got something close to it.I bet I can make a mix and roll it out to make actual chips. And I have been enjoying simple ingredients. Getting my tastebuds back to normal like 5 years ago was one of the best decisions I've made.
>>21994989Just eat some potato chips at the end of the month as a treat…
>>21994989>There's nothing without carbs that are as crunchy as potato chipsNuts and seeds are a good alternative. I'm not on keto but I can't eat starch and ground flax has been a decent substitute although I'm still having to figure out how much hydration it needs for certain things.
>>21994965Why don't you just eat normal food like a sane person instead of punishing yourself with this shit
>>21994991I've been reading some stuff that suggests that you should go back to carbs now and then to keep your body trained. >>21995010A lot of seeds and nuts have carbs in them. Also not crunchy, but essential on keto.>>21995011If I wasn't punished by my body not liking carbs and dairy, I would.
>>21995060>A lot of seeds and nuts have carbs in them. It's like 1-2g per serving excluding the fiber. Worrying about carbs in nuts and seeds just seems way too extreme.
>>21995062You might say it’s nuts!
>>21994965Interesting, is there an upper limit to how much you’d eat of it in a day? Saved to try making later.
>>21996030That one piece is around 30g of fiber, so yes. Since it's soluable fiber, you need a ton of fluid or else you'll clog your guts.I sprayed some olive oil over it for dinner, real good for what it is.Used garlic powder, oregano, black pepper amd some salt in the mix.
>>21995070I would, I really would.
>>21994989I've lost a bunch of weight and maintained by keeping carbs to under 50g a day. Sometimes I eat more than that. You just can't eat mostly carbs or eat them all day. I'll have nuts and a couple small taco tortillas or thin slices of bread to keep things interesting. I'll have the "keto-approved" blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. But I miss other fruits. I bought those psyillium husks and flax seeds and all sorts of stuff to try making low carb bread but haven't yet been motivated enough to do so. I'd like to eat more bread but I feared it wouldn't be good, and you say it isn't.>>21994985Yeah, I've found products made for ketoheads are bullshit and filled with carbs and fuzzy math with fiber points and 'net carbs' and all that. But those things will make you fat. I bought "sugar-free" Russell Stover assorted chocolates and caramels all excited, but no, they're like 6g per candy. The big keto tortillas taste terrible I think. Cauliflower crust pizza has more carbs than some wheat dough thin crusts, so I will just have real pizza when I want it. But I mainly do eat fresh and simple ingredients. Lots of meat and veggies and eggs. The main problem is people want convenience, and you have to do a lot of scratch cooking to be happy eating low carb I've found. And Atkins type products are expensive and just processed crap. If you have plenty of time and you love to cook, you can go far.
>>21994965idk bro, looks like youre shitting bricks after this if you dont drink five liters of water
225g of flax seed 10g of psyllium husk (~2 tbsp)2 tsp of baking powder1,5 tsp of salt200g of walnuts (run them through a food processor250g of sour cream6 eggsMix all the dry ingredients in one bowl, whip the eggs and sour cream together in another, then combine it all and pour it into a greased bread pan.Bake it for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 175C (350F) in the lowest rack in the oven.Practically tastes like scandinavian rye

>>21996631Kek, I had completely forgotten about that fucking meme. You sure as hell have to pinch some logs if you ate it all.
>>21996634
>>21995060>If I wasn't punished by my body not liking carbs and dairy, I would. You can eat 2 slices of dark rye bread a day and still stay in ketolardosis. But I get that you're just having fun experimenting. I doubt you're gonna be eating this every day since normal dark bread is so much easier to acquire.
>>21994965Looks interesting. I used to do flaxseed bread, egg, bunch of ground flaxseed and some olive oil. You can microwave them. Now I don't bother I just eat broccoli and salad all the time. Broccoli has fiber too.If I want to 'cheat' I just eat whatever I want and then continue normally. Don't really crave bread in any form.

Keto is fake. Jack Scalfani did keto for years and never lost weight.
>>21997152It isn't fake. I lost a lot of weight on it and haven't gained it back. I eat way less food less often. Low carb high fat totally works if you actually follow it. The people who fail at it are eating too many carbs, it's that simple. They cheat, and they indulge in processed 'keto' snacks and candy that are not very low in carbs. Or they're just going full glutton on bacon and cheese and grease and not getting full because it's a mental or emotional thing. Jack was dumb, so he probably did something like drank fruit juice all the time because he thought it was all just about bread and rice and potatoes. I'm sure he didn't exercise either.
