I left the fridge door open for about 30 minutes. Did I just cut my refrigerator's life span? But the sides are just a bit warm, not hot.

it's fucking ruined, throw it out.
>>21999142This creates mustard gas

>>21999142Probably a little bit but not enough to really worry. Also the things in the refrigerator stay cold for a while so it's not like it just immediately drops to room temperature. The refrigerator sides are probably always a bit warm.
No, OP. What does cut down on the lifespan of your fridge is neglecting the exterior vents and blocking the interior ones. Keep your fridge clean and don't crowd it full of shit. Maintain good airflow.
>>22001255What >>21999142 said, and not just the vents. But the COILS INSIDE, MAKE SURE TO CLEAN THE COILS (like once a year). You can hire a Appliance/HVAC guy to come move the thing and get at it or DIY:You get one of these coil-cleaning brushes ($5-6):https://www.amazon.com/Holikme-Clothes-Cleaner-Flexible-Refrigerator/dp/B08Z85CV3G^Also good for cleaning out dryer lint vent which is apart from faulty wiring is one of the largest sources of house fires when clogged, and your A/C unit which operates on the same fundamental heat exchange tech as your fridge with the evaporator and condenser coils. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBwg9S-SKqE
