Any recommendations for what to buy for my first kitchen? I already have a cast iron skillet and a shitty knife set(looking for some axis steel in the meanwhile).

A good heat resistant spatula and stainless steel scrubbing pads. Not the gay ones with soap that dissolve, the hard metal ones you can buy at gas stations in bad neighborhoods.
>>22000409Y-Peeler, specifically this Kuhn Rikon model:https://www.amazon.com/Kuhn-Rikon-Original-Peeler-4-Inch/dp/B001CRFX2AI paid $5 for mine 8 years ago and it still glides through potatoes, carrots, celery, cucumbers, apples, etc. like butter. Makes prep work magnitudes easier and faster.. There is almost nothing in a kitchen you can pay as little for that gives a huge benefit.

A good pair of tongs for cramming
>>22000409this is the only knife you need
Hotdogs, sausage links, bratwurst, corn dogs, egg rolls and more. Enlighten your kitchen with a multi roller hot dog machine. From the makers of hot weiner.
>>22000409>cutting board>one or two pots>baking tray>wooden spoon or two>measuring cups or a scale>grater>tongsI think that covers the absolute bare essentials. for the recipes I make at least. You can do most of what the below things are for with these things, badly. After you have that, I would probably get:>garlic press (I hate prepping garlic without this and it's very cheap)>potato masher>silicon spatula>glass bowls (or metal)>kitchen shears>corkscrew>whisk>sieve>cooling rackI'm assuming you have crockery and cutlery already and just didn't mention it.Once you have a good knife you should get some kind of sharpener too. Whetstone or one of those drawthrough ones are both fine. A honing rod is good too but not the same thing as a sharpener. Finally, you don't really need these, but they are nice to have:>food processor>immersion blender>instant pot>maybe a cocktail shaker if you or your partner are into thatAll of these are assuming you would actually have some kind of use for them.
