The meat. It doesn't look very appetizing before you slice and pan fry it though.
Even made the white sauce!
Beef & Lamb Meat1 yellow onion, cut into chunks4-6 garlic cloves1 lb ground beef1 lb ground lamb2 tbsp oregano1 tbsp salt2 tsp smoked paprika1 tsp cumin1 tsp corianderPreheat oven to 400F. In a food processor, add in your onion and garlic and blend till finely chopped.Add in ground beef & lamb along with all your seasonings. Blend again and use a spatula to press down the sides until everything is well coated. Place meat in a baking dish lined with parchment paper, and shape into an even 1 1/2 inch thickness. Bake for 35 minutes or until 165F internal. Slice, dice and sear on a hot pan with some of the drippings until golden brown.Yellow Rice2 cups Basmati rice3 cups water or chicken broth2 tablespoons ghee or unsalted butter1/2 tsp turmeric1/2 tsp cumin1 tsp salt to taste2 bay leavesIn a pan medium heat, melt down some ghee along with turmeric & cumin. Cook for a few minutes then add washed rice. Coat in all that flavor and toast the rice for a few minutes as well. Cook with water & bay leaves in that same pan or add to a ricecooker.White Sauce1/2 cup mayonnaise1/2 cup yogurt1 lemon, juiced1 tbsp white vinegar1 tbsp sugar1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely mincedSalt and black pepper to taste
