How much of a cringe lord would it make me if I, a filthy casual, would buy myself a jacket to safe my expansive /fa/ cloths when home cooking? An apron doesn't cut it as my sleeves regularly have microsplatters of whatever I'm doing and I'm too lazy too dress down multiple times a day.

As a saving grace, I'm regularly doing pro bono dessert catering for a kids institution, so it might look more professional in case someone sees me when getting the stuff.

even if it was cringe, if you're in your own home who the fuck is going to see you to cringe at it? do whatever you want dude
>>
>>22004928
?? just cook naked
>>
>>22004928
not regarding your cooking out of the house...

but i got the last pair of beautiful suede bruno bordese boots before his design team went to shit. love em. but used to wear them in the kitchen. day one some butter slips off a spoon, 700$ boots never the same.

so yeah, love yourself, take care of your shit how you think best.

My autistic self hate will cringe at myself if I don't gather external approval before a socially risky endeavor.
>>
>>22004936
with that attitude I'm afraid anything you do will cringe, because you yourself are cringe at the core
>>
>>22004928
Just cook naked you faggot
>>
if you kill yourself you wont have to worry about it. Bonus points if you do it infront of a bunch of kids.

Why do you need to wear /fa/ggot-tier clothes while cooking? Why not just put on a cheap but neat shirt instead?

>As a saving grace, I'm regularly doing pro bono dessert catering for a kids institution, so it might look more professional in case someone sees me when getting the stuff.
How many times a day do people tell you you’re retarded? I’m guessing it’s a lot.
>>
>>22005012
Why do you NEED to wear /fa/ggot tier clothes while catering for children, retard? You scared that little timmy is going to fitmog you?
>>
>>22005007
Because I am already wearing a shirt and I don't want to change it. Much easier to throw on a lab coat or jacket and hang it once no longer in use.

>>22005013
It's more about the parents and potential clients, rather than lil butterfingers.
>>
>>22005013
>NEED is the same as want
Actually guessing is out of the table, i'm certain it's a lot.
>>
>>22005015
Since you're doing professional catering, I'd probably pick up a jacket, and if you do pick it up, you might aswell wear it at home too.
>>
>>22005017
>Actually guessing is out of the table, i'm certain it's a lot.
What? ESL?
>>
>>22005023
Holy retard
>>
>>22005029
Rephrase and clarify then, retard.
"Out of the table" is not a real phrase (maybe you misheard "off of the table" in your ESL classes?), and what are you referring to when you said "i'm certain it's a lot"?
You are either baiting or INSANELY retarded. Your post was a nonsensical response to the post you replied to.

You're already cringe by being so insecure you need to wear expensive clothes while cooking.
>>
>>22004928
If you're doing cooking at home just get an apron or it should be easy to change into something you don't care about. Its not like I put on scrubs to change a band-aid.
>>
>>22004928
if you're worried about your clothes because they're expensive, you can't afford those clothes

Wanna try that again rejeet?
>>
>>22005253
You said you did it pro boner, you really need to wear expensive clothes to a job you're doing for free?
>>
>>22005282
No, I don't need to do any of it. But when I do something, I try to do it properly and to a certain standard. Additionally, this might open up a possible side income, which would be nice. Last but not least it's still mainly about not fucking up my good stuff. I literally do not own trash cloths to ruin, so that would be an alternative to soaking and spot treating each item.

Honesty, the more I think about it, the more of a no brainer it becomes. Actually, lemmy check out the hat collection, might as well go full retard.

You're already a massive "cringe lord" for using words like "cringe lord" "filthy casual" and mentioning /fa/.
>>
>>22005426

My wife bought me a chef's jacket and striped apron and chef pants and even though they're larpy they're fantastically practical in the kitchen. Recommended. I'm thinking about getting a pair of kitchen shoes too.

So just do it. But the jacket isn't really a substitute for an apron.
>>
>>22004928
I just use an old hoodie myself
>>
Honestly I’ve always thought a chef jacket looks pretty sharp (the chef pajama pants suck though)
>>
>>22004928
I would get a couple from Temu
But my first choice would be a t-shirt + some cool apron (maybe from temu)
