I was at 245 lbs Sunday. I've lost 85 pounds since Lent started in February this year. I've been fasting, drinking only water, and only eating on Sundays.

I've noticed that after I eat for the day, I gain 10 lbs, then by the next Sunday, I have lost 15 lbs. So I'm averaging about ~5 pound loss a week. Is this normal?

I always break my fast with:
Three activa yogurts; strawberry, cherry, and vanilla
Three ice cream sandwiches
A 12 oz glass of milk
A 12 oz glass of orange juice
A 12 oz glass of apple juice
An orange

Here's what I ate in addition yesterday:
A plain cake donut
A 9in homemade 6 egg with 1/2 cup cubed muenster cheese quiche
A half of 9in peach pie homemade with chocolate, agave nectar, honey, evaporated milk, heavy whipping cream, and half package of vanilla pudding
A slice of homemade pecan pie
A sandwich with two slices of fried thick bologna, 4 slices of thin cut fried pepperoni, 4 slices of thin cut fried genoa salami, some peeled yellow onion, a 4th of a red pepper, and a 7 inch leaf of romaine lettuce on 6 inch rebaked french bread spread with mayonnaise
2 oz of smart food white cheddar popcorn
6 sensible portions garden veggie chips sour cream and onion potato crisps
4 12oz sugar free diet sodas: cherry, orange, dr, and grapefruit flavored
A big bowl of malt o meal fruity dyno bites with marshmallows cereal
4 muenster cheese and onion enchiladas

I ate this over the course of 18 hours; from 6 am to midnight.

What have you been eating/cooking?

You should probably count your calories. It can help a lot with weight loss, even if you're doing "good" with weight loss. I stopped counting my calories after losing 80lbs from November to being just about 5 more pounds down from March to May.

that sounds just awful

My friend, this is not a blog or reddit. Did you expect me to read all that shit? Go be fat somewhere else. This place is for food porn.

next time you break fast take a picture of your buffet table full of food

Thank you, I will do that.

Which part? All of of it, some of it?

Post cook

I will.

>Is this normal?
Yes. You may have noticed that you drink like crazy on Sunday. Those carbs get converted to glycogen, which is 75% water by weight. You've got to drink a lot of water to store all that glycogen. Also you're getting salt in your sunday meals which increases fluid retention, which means more water. Then you piss like crazy the next day or so as you burn off that glycogen and use that water to piss out that salt.

I've lost about 90 pounds since November a similar way, fasting 72 hours then eating for one day and getting like 3-4K cals. About to be under 300 for the first time in a couple of decades (I'm 199cm)
>>
>>22006006
>Is this normal?
Probably. Like the other poster said you lose extra weight for all the carbs your body uses up. Your body stores about a pound of glycogen with 3-4 lbs of water so that's 5 lbs right there.

You're consuming a lot of junk food though and that's not sustainable. As you get closer to your target weight you should try to stop bingeing on junk food and eat more whole foods so you can maintain a healthy weight more easily instead of starving and bingeing.

>only eating on Sundays.
Stupid. You're just cultivating bringing habits. Which you probably already had, since you're mega fat. But you're not learning how to eat healthy. What happens when you reach your goal weight, and you have to eat daily again? You're just going to binge daily, until you get mega fat again.

just eat every other day
>>
>>22006006
That's nuts. Just do the fucking sardines only thing. Get electrolytes, water in excess is going to rape your potassium levels.

Too much egg is bad
Lift, play broodwar (the brain burns calories)

you have picked the worst way to diet. the moment you go off your diet you will put on twice what you lost.
>>
>>22006006
jesus christ on a stick. you ate at least 6000 calories. enough for 3 200lb men.

no shit you gain 10 pounds holy fuck.

long term you will never keep your weight off. because it is obvious you have no self control.

fasting is the worst way to lose weight. you need to stick to a maximum calories daily of no more than 2000. but that depends on your age and activity level.

what you are doing is training your body to stay in starvation mode which means it will do everything it can to keep you fat. the damage is done and it is probably to late to reverse it.

Congratulations. Good luck and keep it up.

I understand the autistic mind that would do such a thing. As others said, your body is doing mad things on Sunday / Monday to replenish glycogen and water. That is a massive amount of weight to lose in that amount of time and it's testament to your willpower but you are extremely likely to revert to your old ways when this little experiment runs its course. Now is the time to train yourself to eat simple, healthy meals and to say goodbye to the peach cobbler. Don't let it be for nothing.
>>
CICO. You're doing fine.

*although that said if you have any pain in your back or belly you are doing some gallstone and kidney stone adjacent shit.

If you're serious about making it to a healthy goal weight, recommend eating low calorie foods in volume instead of that premade slop. Buy fresh produce and learn to cook. Eat peaches instead of peach pie, etc. Drink milk instead of eating yogurt. Eggs are cheap.

why are you doing some weird stomach stretching every Sunday?

it's cool you're losing weight, but omg you must be so uncomfortable Sunday night.

Why don't you just eat 1k calories a day instead?

Post photos of your Sunday feasts. It's required for a thread like this.

And go into details about how you feel day by day. Absolute outlier human.
