Homegrown herbs and cheese chunks embedded in puffy focaccia dough, in a cast iron.
Any toppings can be embedded as well.
Tomato puree lightly sauced on top.

^There's an excel spreadsheet that auto-calculate ingredients for your given pan size/shape linked in this recipe vid. I've used it and it's works fabulously (use a throwaway email if needed).

Check out your local food libraries; Buddy's has a frozen pizza in a foil pan thats reasonably good. Bake it for 30 mins, its pretty darn close and better than Little Caesars.

Can't really help you with cooking it at home, I'm one of those people who just can't seem to make a good pizza, or fried chicken at home.
>>
>>22011252
the problem is I used to live near buddy's and cloverleaf before moving out of michigan and I don't think the frozen shit from a factory with buddy's name on it is going to hold up to my ideals

Ok let's quote pizzafacts.net
http://www.pizzafacts.net/pizza-making/pizza-ingredients/
>Cheese is traditionally the most common topping found on modern pizzas.
I rest my case.
>>
>>22011289
Probably not, but its better than going without. I think Uno's on 14 mile had a good pizza too.

Fuck now I miss my favorite jew delis and Coney Islands and Greene's/hunter house burgers.
>>
>>22011302
without cheese, pizza is just bread and cant be called a pizza. im not budging on this. might as well say that curry sauce is the main topping of chicken curry or something.
>>
>>22011323
>without cheese, pizza is just bread and cant be called a pizza
I agree, cheese is one of the toppings that defines it as a pizza. Cheese and tomato are prerequisite toppings. Curry sauce can be a topping if put on a pizza (with or without chicken), but otherwise it's just a sauce.
>>
>>22011383
>Cheese and tomato are prerequisite toppings.
What about white pizzas? Those alfredo or garlic white sauces with chicken and spinach or something?
>>
>>22009747
Under.
The cheese is what holds the pizza together, the majority of the toppings need to be held in place.
The only exceptions are anchovies, basil and pepperoni.
>>
>>22011323
you fucking lost, and let me be the one to pull you into salivation salvation. how in the fucking shit are you supposed to counter-fact a website with that denomination? What you propose is against the very law of nature.
>>
>>22011383
>>22011393
how about looking at it this way - when you call up a pizza joint to place an order and they ask you what toppings you want, do you start by mentioning cheese?

of course you dont, and if you do its because you're a faggot. i say this as one who worked in a pizza joint, so, like, i know all about it.
>>
>>22011385
What about pizzas that don't even have sauce, just olive oil?
>>
>>22011402
>don't even have sauce, just olive oil?
Those aren't pizzas then. thats just a bread stick.
>>
>>22011405

>>
>>22009747
Basil always goes under the mozzarella so it doesn't burn in the oven. For other toppings both can work.
>>
>>22011412
if cheese bread is pizza, then is a grilled cheese just a double pizza?
>>
>>22011423
basil goes on after cooking
>>
>>22011423
its absolutely necessary to have pepperoni and other meat like ham squares etc on top. the pineapple should be embedded in cheese but not covered. Cheese-coverers generally dont have many friends for a good reason
>>
>>22011425
no, because it does not fulfill enough of the requirements
>toppings on bread
yes
>pizza dough
no
>typically cut into many slices
no
>share food
no
> traditional pizza flavours
no
>pizza shaped
no
>has pizza vibes
no
>>
>>22011439
Whats the difference between pizza dough and bread dough?
Whats the difference between a triangle (diagonal) cut grilled cheese and a pizza slice?
You've never shared half a grilled cheese with your significant other?
If the qualification for a pizza is traditional pizza flavors, how can a sauceless pizza be considered a pizza when its missing a significant portion of pizza flavors?
Can you define a pizza shape? Because it can be round and cut into triangles. It can be round and cut into squares (party cut). It can be square and cut into smaller squares. What is a pizza shape?
Pizza vibes aren't real, thats a low IQ term that means nothing, 67.

Looks like they have shoe coverings
>>
>>22011446
Are calzones or stromboli pizzas?
>>
>>22011448
Not pizza shaped, I'm afraid.
This is the most important metric, since pizzas are defined by a vertical stack of ingredients, and these two are both folded at some stage.
Sushi pizza is pizza, because it is pizza shaped, but calzones are not pizza.
To clarify, a calzone used to be a pizza, but it is not anymore.
>>
>>22011454
When is it no longer pizza shaped? You can't say because it was folded in half its no longer pizza shaped, that assumes if I eat half a pizza I'm no longer eating pizza because its now a half-circle. John Travolta putting a slice on top of another slice means he didn't eat pizza in that opening scene?
>>
>>22011448
no. its more like a cheese pasty at that point but i fully understand why calzone is generally included under the pizza heading in menus. but its technically not a pizza
>>
>>22009747
Looks disgusting. What a waste of space, time and ingredients.
>>
>>22009747
Are they trying to fraudulently make "the world's largest pizza" by overlapping thousands of small pizzas on top of eachother?
>>
Cheese is a topping. It goes on TOP of the pizza
>>
>>22010125
what the fuck
>>
>>22011847
cheese is part of what pizza is, so you cant really say it goes onto top of the pizza since theres no pizza for it to go on top of until its already there.

therefore its the other things which are toppings and must go ON TOP of the pizza.
>>
in most cases toppings should be embedded or have a moderate cheese dusting. the only case I'd want them fully exposed is something like a basic single topping meat. combo pizzas that have onions, olives, mushrooms on top completely naked are trash.
>>
>>22011448
Are calzonés pizzas?
Yes, ever tried making your own? It's literally a cheese pizza but folded in half literally.
>>
>>22012583
you know what happens when you fold a slice of bread in half? it turns into a sandwich and is no longer a slice of bread. same thing with the pizza to calzone pipeline.

This is a common misconception and exactly what thread is about. If you don't cover them with cheese they will most definitely burn unless cooked for a very short time at extremely high heat. Fragile toppings (like basil) need covering. Other toppings don't need covering. Anchovies for example. Basil works as an uncooked and cooked topping.
