when was the last time you got to do this?
>>22012635do it pretty often, mostly for the kids. they always enjoy the whole thing. did it....maybe 3 weeks ago.
Last summer.Once on American Independence Day, the other on Bundesfeiertag.>>22012646I miss when my kid, his playcousin and the weirdo kid down the street used to play flashlight tag in the wood. I hate that he's growing up. I know I shouldn't but it really fucking bothers me.
>>22012653try starving him more. it slows down maturation
>>22012635do what? steal an image? yesterday actually
>>22012635Outside: last fallInside: February I think
>>22012635either teenage or early to mid 20s.i have zero desire to go innawoods any longer unless i visit my home are and show my wife and kid some of those places.grew up in the adirondacks so i used to do it all the time.now i live in a much different area.
>>22012653>I hate that he's growing up. I know I shouldn't but it really fucking bothers me.you should be happy that he's gonna finally get the fuck out of your house and you can get back to living your own life.without a child under your roof you can successfully run for office and get mega rich off the mega stupid.
>>22012684nice. i started doing pizza in my woodstove this winter. worked out really well. admittedly picrel is bread and not pizza but you get the idea
>>22012692>t. will never reproduce
>>22012915already did, anon.you'll learn as you get older.
uhh I grilled on friday but maybe I should just make a wood fire next time, grilling over coal is kinda lame
>>22012706Ah very cool! I've been wanting to use cast iron directly in my fireplace but I felt like I needed something to set it on top of. What you're doing gave me a good idea though, thanks
>>22013057Are you gonna kick 'em out at 18 to become mega rich
>>22013088just a hint - dont let the cast iron pan get too hot for too long because it breaks the nice non stick surface you've no doubt built up on it. its ok to get it nice and hot on the coals, drop a pizza in for the few minutes it takes to cook the base and melt the cheese etc, but then let it cool a little before heating for the next pizzato crisp the top use a grill.other than that yeah, its great. just sit that thing on the coals no problem.
>>22012635about a month ago with some cheerios because they were cold
>>22013080>kinda lameso is your life and comment
>>22012635I've never done this. Kinda sad desu
>>22013196never too late. also heres another thing you can do - prepare some bread dough, fairly stiff, and let it rise for a few hours before you want to cook on the fire. cut some green sticks and shave the end back maybe 10 inches of bark. then, take some bread dough, form it sausage like, and coil it around the end of your stick. proceed to cook over fire, turning as you go. makes great quick cookout bread. you can take the coil off as one and put a cooked sausage inside
>>22012635Fireplace is all fucked, so i can't
>>22013223So is your horrible life bro.
>>22013151Awesome, thanksYeah, I've had my 8in pan for about 15yrs now. I've got a 10in that's newer, maybe I'll try it first with that one
>Getting loaded on nitrates
>>22013270Now you sound just like your moms colon.
>>22013257Seems you're projecting bro, no reason to be so aggro.
>>22013277Seems you're triggered bro, no reason to respond to a shitpost, but you did.
>>22013279So life isn't going good is it, huh? You sound underage. Don't worry, it'll get better sport
>>22013279Who the fuck still says triggered.
>>22013289>it'll get betterobviously it has not for you loser
>>22012653>I hate that he's growing up. I know I shouldn't but it really fucking bothers me.That's just part of parenting. Wait until he has grandkids, though.
>>22013292Don't worry kid, you'll grow up and realize acting like a putz isn't worth your time, no matter how mad you are at your parents. Hope it isn't cause dad ran over your dog or something. That'd suck.
>>22013196same
>>22013296Good Lord gramps. Cringe.
>>22013344Its okay buddy, I'm sorry papa hit rover. But the dog had to go
>>22012635>got toI don't live in a city or Europe, I can do this whenever I like. Except right now because there's a drought and my county has a burn ban. That's why I'm using a grill instead of a firepit.
I do that often
>>22012635My car broke down after I got a new job that's walking distance, and all the /out/ laws post covid banned open fires. Tourist post-covid spiked massively so every good /out/ area that isnt a 4 day hike to get to is flooded with Chinese. So I just basically stopped going camping and play /out/ games instead like DayZ and Long Dark.
5 years ago when I had a practice gf for a few weeks. I am not interested in women anymore after that
>>22013193>t. coalcuck
>>22013264have fun. makes way better pizza than using a regular oven anyway.
>>22013344>>22013296This was the gayest exchange I’ve read in a while>>22013399Nice skewer desu>>22013270You can get nitrate free dawgs
>>22013917we have a few of this kind of thing with a longer handle and space for 3-4 dogs. works will on an open fire
>>22012674lol>>22012692Maybe. But he's gotten to the age where everything I do is cringe. I mentioned this one before but we made up Thanksgiving carols together and this last Thanksgiving, he didn't want to sing them with me. : (>>22013293Bruh, I'm gonna spoil those kids so fucking hard. >>22012635btw, do other countries cut sausages like that or just Switzerland? The first time I did that here in America, my wife's friend and her husband thought it was the weirdest shit but in Switzerland it's just… normal. You cut cervelat like that to roast them on a stick. I… don't really know why, though.
>>22013928you're swiss? im married into a swiss family and i think they sometimes cut them like that. probably comes from the fact that lots of sausages will burst and split in a similar fashion if you just leave them. seems like a tradition.
>>22013917Thanks big dawg
>>22012653>playcousinOk, what shithole are you from
>>22013923That’s very cool, looks like you could do skewers too
>>22012635cosplay being homeless? Thankfully fucking Never
>>22013989yeah you can clamp whatever you want across it really. we used to use skewers for sausages but when you've got a bunch of kids getting hungry a way to cook more at once with less messing around comes in handy, and you can cook on a smaller bed of coals this way too
>>22013928Try asking him what he enjoys doing and helping hin persue those interests.
