Why does beer make me fall asleep? I drink all kinds of alcohol but beer and only beer makes me pass out and I don't mean black out drunk but sleepy. I have 3 bottles and I start dozing off
>>
>>22013988
Idk but congratulations on your simple sleep aid
>>
>bottles
If youre drinking straight from the bottle, perhaps it has something to do beer being carbonated? Ive heard that it makes alcohol absorb into your body faster
>>
>>22013993
How does drinking out of the bottle and a pint glass matter?
>>
>>22013988
Cuz every minute you are sleeping is a minute im balls deep inside your wife
>>
>>22013991
It really is a crazy cheat code I just hard fell asleep on my couch with the TV on
>>
>>22013988
I think it's fairly common. A family member of mine has a drinking problem because it's the only thing that relaxes him enough to sleep.
>>
>>22013988
Maybe histamine. I've noticed other fermented foods make me feel a little drowsy sometimes if it's really long fermented or I eat a lot of it. Could also be a reaction to gluten.
>>
>>22014015
Alcohol can help you fall asleep, but you don't get restful sleep. Even with just two drinks it messes you up.
>>
>>22013993
You're an idiot
>>
>>22013988
Beer contains hops, which you seem to be particularly affected by.
Hop has a calming, dampening and sleep inducing effect.
That's the whole reason why it's in there, before that brewers put all kinds of herbs and shit in their beer, often with hallucinogenic properties. This lead to often violent excessive outbursts.
Hence at some point the rulers ordered the slightly tranquilizing hop to be added to it instead as the only additional herb.

nah because after 2 hours the alcohol's completely out of your system. now if you're blacking out and going to sleep, yes you are not getting a restful sleep.
>>
Crash resulting from the cortisol spike?
>>
take b1 before drinking
>>
>>22014095
>after 2 hours the alcohol's completely out of your system.
That's not true. And even if it was, your body still has to process other things from it that take longer. Your body also doesn't just immediately return to baseline either.
>>
It's the cartolograins they hyper-unsullate your mendus. This is basic biology.
>>
>>22013988
You're probably dehydrated
>>
>>22013988
it spikes your blood sugar quicker and for longer than liquor and you are prediabetic.
>>
>>22014113
More like 2 to 3 months after you quit drinking you're back to normal.
>>
Other drinks are stronger and lower in volume. You have to drink a lot less liquid to get drunk. Once you feel drunk that gives you a second wind to get up, get something to eat, start a movie, etc.

Personally this is why I drink beer. I just get bored and decide to go to sleep. Even with the high ABV ones. Give me vodka and I'm up til I pass out.
>>
>>22014044
>but you don't get restful sleep
Still better than no sleep.
>>
Bought a 6 pack of Busch light apple to try for the first time for 10 dollars. Don’t really get the hype . Would have rather spent an extra 2 bucks and got a 12 pack of miller high life

Sleepiness happens when you consume alcohol too slowly. There is a ~90 minute period after your first drink which defines the kind of drunk you get. If you spike your blood alcohol quickly within 90 minutes then you'll get a more euphoric, energetic drunk. If you only drink a couple beers in that 90 minutes then you'll just get sleepy and groggy no matter how much more you drink.

>>22013993
Higher absorption rates are less relevant than total alcohol consumed in a period of time. Alcohol is absorbed near instantly as it is. And since beer has much less total alcohol compared to other drinks, drinking beer increases your blood alcohol slower unless you chug them back to back.

>There is a ~90 minute period after your first drink which defines the kind of drunk you get.
can confirm, nursing a bapple right now
>>
>>22017135
>6 pack of Busch for $10
never spend more than $1/beer for anything that is also sold in a 30 pack.
>>
>>22017186
i live in nj , cheapest 6 pack is 7 bucks
>>
>>22017179
Pacing the perfect binge takes a lot of skill, many fail in this craft.
Go too hard you overshoot and night is over, you go too slow or do a too long break and you'll get hardcore sleepy and night is over too.
>>
>>22013988
You have a food digestion disorder. You get tired because digesting the beer is so much effort for your gut. Do you get the same symptoms when eating a lot of bread?
>>
>>22017441
Nah, just keep drinking and you'll get better.
I stopped drinking beer but I used to drink 5.5% cans one after another until I had 20 or so.
Those nonsense studies quoted earlier doesn't mean shit, if you are a grown man and you sip some 3.3-4.5% beers slowly, you'll just get bloated because beer is full of carbs. Carbs make you tired and bloated. Even worse if you are allergic to them, if you are drinking shitty beer it's made out of corn starch or something similar, you'll feel even worse then.
Drink quality beer and drink it fast.
I could drink 24 cans of some cheap shit and not even getting drunk because it just doesn't work.

alcohol fucks up your sleep real bad. you will sleep for 8 hours and feel like you took a 30 minute nap.
>>
>>22014095
all depends on quantity.
it can tae til late the next day for your nervous system to get itself clean. often causes a bti of a wtf panic attack in big drinkers
>>
>>22013988
what kinda of beer are you drinking? and what kind of other drinks do you do?
>>
When I drink a lot I just end up eating a lot more and it sometimes annoys people
>>
>>22017505
That's not a good type of drunk. You were just abusing your body and getting blacked out while failing to maximize the experience
>Carbs make you tired and bloated.
Alcohol is a type of carb. Wine and cocktails are full of sugar as well.
>Even worse if you are allergic to them
You're "allergic to carbs"?
Obviously you have very limited to no understanding of this subject. But keep drinking your "24 cans of cheap shit" I suppose
