I have a weakened immune system. What food should I eat and what food should I avoid?
>>22016906you should be eating as many preservatives as possible
>>22016906this is something you should be asking a nutrtionist
>>22016906I would just make sure you meet all your daily micros.
Bone broth, ginger, fish, avocadosAnything included in the AIP diet will be really easy on your system - Auto Immune Protocol diet
>>22016906I've been on suppressants for years nowIt's not like you need to change your diet or anything but you need to be as careful as a restaurant when it comes to cross-contamination or food spoilage. No eating anything that's been left out for long periods of time, no gambling on week-old fridge pizza, anything that might give you basic-ass food poisoning.
>>22016936>>22016932>AIP dietAnon that's supplement-hocker horseshit not a real medical recommendation.
>>22016906TurmericGarlicGingerPumpkin seedsGet some of those green smoothie powders with wheatgrass and spirulina. Mix with yoghurt
>>22016938It’s obviously a diet that would be easy on your body, though. I didn’t say “go on the AIP diet” just anything included is probably fine. It’s promoted alongside supplement pushers incorrectly anyway, it’s not supposed to be a lifestyle diet. Just temporary, and it was massively helpful figuring out what was and wasn’t my problem.
>>22016906Sorry for aids anon, unless your a degenerate then haha. But stick with fresh food and veggies, high garlic and vitamin rich foods. Limit high histimine foods. Wash your veggies and fruits. Be mindful of processed foods because we have no idea what sick disgusting individuals are in those plants.
>>22016961Not aids just good old time cancer
>>22016942This. Prioritise your micronutrients. Eat whole grains like freekeh and teff and shit high in manganese and iron and zinc. Nuts and seeds (tahini, nut butters, etc. are also easy to incorporate), oysters, eggs, dark leafy greens, tropical fruits, herbs and spices, berries, capsicums. If you eat all of those it'll cover your micros.
>>22016956>It’s obviously a diet that would be easy on your body, thoughThat phrase is fucking meaningless, anon. They have a reduced immune system not polyps. A dietary change would make no difference - they need to be careful about food poisoning.>>22016966Anon methotrexate or chemo have their own digestive issues that are vastly more important to consider than the fact that you're immuno-compromised. Talk to your oncologist, not us.
>>22017129>>22016966seriously, for the love of god, do not take diet advice from the retards here if you don't know what is/isn't safe or helpful with your specific cancer therapy. ASK YOUR DOCTOR.
>>22016966You might get some results with Nigella in your diet. There is a compound in Nigella called thymoquinone and it is being heavily researched for its anti-cancer properties. You can also buy it as an oil or supplement, but I like to use it in my cooking. It has a pepper and onion taste so it works in a lot of dishes, eggs, potatoes, curry, chilli. If you've ever had Turkish pide bread with the black seeds on top, those are Nigella seeds.Google "thymoquinone + cancer" for more info
>>22017156>>22016966Besides it being incredibly stupid to attempt to home-treat cancer or start a supplemental routine without consulting your oncologist, you would need to consume SIX THOUSAND nigella seeds a day to consume what MIGHT be a therapeutic dose.
>>22017158Most people take the oil but this is the /ck/ board. One of the main reason people take it is for immune support and anti-inflammation properties. It's one of the most popular health supplements in the world. But I think as a spice it's underrated. They use it a lot in Bangladesh and SE Asia. In the West we rarely see it.I'm not saying it will cure cancer, I'm recommending it more broadly for immune health
>>22017163>health supplementsYou might as well say "it's one of the most popular scams in the world"Also you literally just recommended it to a person telling you they are a cancer patient. What limited research there is showing any benefits requires way more than you would ever possibly get from nigella and it is incredibly irresponsible to tell this person anything other than "ask an oncologist"
>>22017129You’re being an obnoxious faggot about this and you don’t know what issues they’re even having. If their oncologist gave no specific diet recommendations, they’re probably fine eating whatever is “easier” to digest. It’s not a big deal to recommend someone eat whole foods
>>22017165I recommended it in the diet. It helps me a lot with my immune system issues.I generally recommend it to everyone!Asking an oncologist about obscure spices might be a bit weird but I doubt they will have an opinion on Nigella either way. Maybe they will have heard of some promising research about it.I also recommend Natto. The enzyme nattokinase in natto also has some promising anti-cancer properties and there is a lot of research being conducted right now.Google nattokinase + cancer for more info!
>>22017172>You’re being an obnoxious faggot about (this anon's fucking cancer and pseud supplement-fag fad diets)Eat shit.>>22017185You too.
>>22017202I didn’t do that though, you must be a zoomie with poor reading comprehension. What i said was no worse than the people listing turmeric and green smoothiesThus, you’re a triggered faggot
>>22017216>Post just says "eat shit">"I didn't do that though"Just stop posting. You have no idea what does or doesn't interact with their meds. Any advice you give is irresponsible.
