What's the consensus on "ultra-filtered" milk? i.e. milk that's had most of the sugar filtered out of it. Is this a healthy alternative for lactose-intolerant people, or is it an unhealthy franken-food?
The red one is the only milk I will drink
>>22017080wasnt there some minor scandal about how poorly fairlife treats their animals?
>>22017080I got it once out of curiosity, I both like and dislike it, it's very strange
>>22017093Yeah they were torturing the cows or something. I consider it more of a 'they were caught torturing.." and not "they were unique in their behavior" because in the US you can literally be charged with terrorism and go to jail for reporting on commercial-scale animal abuse, this was a reaction to a few scandalous videos that came out in the 90s that created a lot of vegans (ever notice how the big wave of veganism is kind of ageing out now? as long as you don't have to see it, you can just hand-wave it all away)Anyway, I usually get the chocolate. I go through a crate a month, more or less.
i like core power elite cause there's a gas station located on rez land relatively close to me that sells them at the same price as the bottles with 26g of protein and i don't have to pay sales taxes there
>>22017083This is the only correct answer.
>>22017102>in the US you can literally be charged with terrorism and go to jail for reporting on commercial-scale animal abusefor just reporting it? the only times I've seen someone get slapped with charges like that based on the AETA are instances where they were doxxing people involved in animal testing and/or actually releasing animals.
>>22017083thank you fairilfe marketer
>>22017080It's expensive, regular milk is already a decent source of protein, lactose isn't bad for you though I understand if you're lactose intolerant. I feel like just saying it has less sugar is probably a bit misleading, since sugar is generally thought of as bad and it'll make people think regular milk is bad for the sugar content without any kind of deeper understanding.I don't really think it's some horrible frankenfood otherwise, but if you're just lactose intolerant then this is much more expensive than regular lactose free milk. Unless you're a diabetic or professional bodybuilder or something then the change in protein/carb content likely isn't going to do much for you except cost more.
>>22017080it's for brown people that can't drink real milk
>>22017132Yea shitting on the other product is really good marketing
>>22017217they didn't do that
>>22017080I still gives me acne and disgusting phlegm ballsit smells horrible too
i dunno if it's the same thing, but I buy Lactantia PurFiltre cause I don't drink/use lots of milk and that brands lasts over a month in the fridge without any added preservative. I usually use more cream than milk
>>22017080I like the taste and lower sugar, but rarely get Fairlife cause it's too expensive.
>>22017125probably because the only people willing to risk time in gitmo over some cows are not quite right in the head
>>22017083/thread
its not milk
Fa!rlife is overpriced dairy from coca cola. Even the protein shakes.
>>22017375Coca-cola is the distributer, they don’t have anything to do with making it. And there are other brands of ultra-filtered milk.
>>22018053"The Coca-Cola Company" doesn't distribute products themselves. The license, bottling and distribution rights are sold to other companies. What "The Coca-Cola Company" does is produce and sell concentrate/recipe/process for their product lineup to bottlers (and restaurants, like McDonald's.) and market the products (brand image, sponsorships, advertising, merchandising). This is why Coca-Cola markets over 9000 coke flavors on their website but you can only find one extra flavor in your local stores; your regional distributer doesn't carry the other flavors. They don't sell the milk themselves, but they still get the big cheese from it.
>>22017080The packaging for this costs 10 times more than the milk inside it. Stop getting scammed.
>>22017080I like using the whole milk to make yogurt since the sterilization step for the milk can be skipped.
I like the chocolate milk since it has way less sugar than other brands but still tastes just as good.
Is pic rel any good? Fairlife is alright.
>>22018238Coca-Cola purchased Coca-Cola Enterprises back in 2010, giving them control over 90% of the Coca-Cola market in the US. They have since sold off most of that, but still retain 20% of Coca-Cola bottling and distribution in the US. So yes, it's mostly true that independent bottlers control most the markets, but 20% is a whole lot more than 0%.
No wonder American influencers are obsessed with Raw Milk if this is what ordinary people drink.
A challenger appears...
>>22018282A2/A2 is a pointless gimmick used to charge extra
>>22017080Last I checked, they're processing introduces microplastics.I don't drink milk regularly, but cooking with it made my hamburger helper taste like off.
>>22017080I bought this twice and both times it started curdling within a couple days
