My dad would always try to make this dish he called cowboy beans. It never came out right and would always end in him just ordering pizza and throwing the beans out.

>Dinty Moore beef stew
Read my mind. But also in our house, "dad food" meant weird random shit because mom was a shopping machine, had her list, knew the aisles, got in & out with maximum efficiency.... but dad was a kid in a candy store on the rare occasions that he shopped, dazzled by the shelves, would grab anything in a colorful box. He was also a gunny in Nam and killed a lot of gooks, so no gook shit. I wasn't allowed to eat ramen noodles until I was 25, had to explain that they were the good gooks, the ones we nuked, they made Nintendos. Dad was a gamer.

Would he totally avoid the international aisle?

>>22019015
The beef, potatoes, and carrots are pretty soft but the taste isn’t bad, and surprisingly the ingredients seem pretty normal still. Growing up we’d use slices of wonder bread to clean the leftover stew off the plate

>>22017308
