yesterday i made chicken fries in the oven. the instructions on the back of the bag said to cook for 15 mins, turning them over halfway through. i was feeling lazy so i didn't turn them over. they came out tasting great. is this whole "turn over halfway through" thing just a psyop?
>>22017961I just do a lil shake every few min
>>22017965every few min? nah fuck that. i'm too lazy
>>22017965Why dont they make a little oven that shakes everything around all the time. Kinda like a tumble dryer and an oven combined.
>>22017968that would destroy the food, genius.
>>22017961It's to prevent burning on one side on certain pans or in certain ovens>>22017968>Why dont they make a little oven that shakes everything around all the timeCongratulations, you invented a vastly worse rotisserie.
>>22017971not ALL food. i bet chicken fries could take it
>>22017971if the tumbler ran fast enough it would pin the food to the spinning drum with centripetal force. it's like the opposite of rotisserie
>>22017971Not soup
>>22017961It's so that they reheat evenly, because the oven makes the water in them evaporate and steam them. If you don't turn them then one side will be jucier than the other.
