Why do vegetarian products need to convince you that they’re just as good as meat-based products? I would make vegetarian meals without question if the ingredients didn’t have the compulsion to smugly insist that they’re so much better than meat. The hubris is truly exhausting.

It's the same with reusable shopping bags, "fair use" whatever. The amount of money, resources, toxic ink, etc. that goes into printing "good for the carbons" whatever all over the packaging and marketing campaigns--to say nothing of the Starbucks-slurping, one-person-per-vehicle driving, buy-a-new-iphone-every-2-years, chuck-batteries-into-the-trash staff that runs the carbon propaganda department.
