Tried "real parmesan" from """""Europe""""" because a friend insisted it's better but it tasted like fart and puke. I'll stick to American parmesan that actually taste good.

I know this is a troll thread but a genuinely love to sit down to a literal pound of spaghetti with a shit ton of spicy ragu sauce with Italian sausage and then a half jar of cheap generic parmesan cheese powder on top.

It the day I die the will be the favorite meal to cook myself

>American parmesan
?
It's not "Europe", it's a very specific place the real parmiggiano comes from, Italy.
>>
Eh, like real parm and the fakey shaky cheese. I always have both on hand.

OP and that poster are most likely from the South where they regard education as a librul conspiracy which is reflected in how they're at the bottom of all academic benchmarks. please do not assume we are all like that.
t. from the North where we actually get good educations
>>
>>22019462
You sound like an italian talking shit about sicilians.
>>

Europe isn't a country, but the EU has shared regulations for parmesan cheese.
Even decent american parmesan wedges generally don't meet EU standards, e.g. Belgioso ages theirs for 10 months while the EU requires at least a year.
>>
>>22019467
and? it's kinda the same situation. northern italy is richer and better educated, southern italy is just the opposite
>>
>>22019513
Just thought it was funny, thats all.
>>
>>22019311
Oh yeah? What country is Europe in then?
>>
You can get parmigiano reggiano from grocery store deli departments. You'd know if you wondered into the spooky areas outside of the aisles.
>>
>>22019521
America
>>
>>22019536
>Leaving the aisles and going to the shady parts of the supermarket
Sould like a surefire way to become part in one of those infamous supermarket muggings or abductions you always hear about.

No you can't. It's a tier system.
The best cheese is made by Emilian white cows. That cheese never leaves Emilia-Romagna.
The second best is made by Emilian red cows. You might some leftovers in an Italian specialtized gourmet shop.Never elsewhere. Google it, tons of results, all fake.
Third tier is Swiss alpine cows. The centre of the cheese wheel (the best bit) is what you usually find in top tier Italian brick and mortar shops. But you're going to have to be sure it's someone with connections running the place.
If you're extremely lucky you might find an Italian somewhere in Europe selling that.
Fourth tier is centre of the wheel Frisian cows' cheese: mass produced, complete garbage. Still the best part of the wheel - what you find in standard Italian deli shops and supermarkets.
5th tier: Frisian cow cheese with rind. The leftovers of the leftovers. What you find in every deli shop on the planet. Total garbage sold at premium prices. Still perfectly legal (at least it's not laced with battery acid or arsenic from some cosa nostra crime gang).

You'd know if you read more than tiktok ads.

Did you also know that wine is named after region it's from?
Champaign comes from a place in France called Champaign. You probably didn't know that because you don't like to fill your brain with knowledge

The stuff from Wisconsin is pretty good. Maybe we should move Europe there.

You have NEVER been to Europe, so you would never know.

It's not like the USA when you go from one state to another and just the sales-tax changes.
In Europe you go from one country to another and it's completely different , architecture, food and language.

Picrel is something Americans only dream of.
>>
>>22019637
I don't know, The US is a massive landmass.
I'd imagine Florida being quite different from Oregon for example.
>>
>>22019644
>I don't know, The US is a massive landmass.
You never get tired of telling us that.

I have been to the states and the difference between states is NOTHING like the difference between countries in Europe.
