I;mthinkingaboutthosbeans

>>22022225
Yes. Otherwise it's just retarded bolognese.
>>
>>22022225
no.
chili requires chili peppers.
beans make it bean casserole.
however, if you pulverize the beans first then you get that perfect sonic chili flavor.
>>
>>22022225
It’s a curry at the end of day.
You can put what you want in it.

Is chili supposed to make me sweat?
t. chili noob
>>
>>22022322
No, it's supposed to cool you down. That's why they call it chilli.
>>
>>22022225
What about corn?
>>
>>22022336
You get that from the tortillas
>>
>>22022225

I add kidney beans & hominy. Nobody in Texas actually cares about any of that stuff, it's always people from somewhere else making a big deal about it.

Similar to your mother's vagina
>>
>>22022225
chili never has beans.
>>
>>22022225
I don't even know what you're supposed to put in it other than beans.
>>
>>22022875
Year old cooked brisket from your freezer
>>
>>22022225
Of course, otherwise it's just ground beef in tomato sauce with taco seasoning. It's best eaten with rice, shredded cheese, and sour cream/greek yogurt too.
>>
>>22022240
this is good bait almost got me
>>
>>22022879
he would have won the cookoff if it weren’t for the judges collusion
>>
>>22022225
chili does not have beans, but beans can have chili.
>>
>>22023175
you cream guys are mentally ill. your cream turns the beautiful chili into this orange color like curry or something. highly disturbing
>>
why would you do it without inexpensive beans?
>>
>>22024532
because some people are just in love with ground beef for some reason
>>
>>22024513
That shit's great, it gives it body. Greek yogurt is based too, I put that shit in as much food as possible for cheap easy protein. I use it in baked pasta dishes.
>>
>>22022225
not always, but mostly.
>>
>>22022225
we always have this discussion
if its a meal or side dish its supposed to have beans
if its a topping its no beans
simple as
>>
lately I've been thinking that making chili with the wrong peppers or not enough peppers is a bigger problem that making it with beans. in fact most of the ignorant comments I hear like
>>22022240
basically stem from the fact that these morons are making "chili" that's 50% tomato and maybe only 1% chilis.

>Does a chili need beans to be chili?

Chili is an ancient Mesoamerican stew of tomatoes, chili peppers and BEANS. Meat is optional but if it doesn't have beans, it is not chili.
