Will the 'za be good again?
>>22024368Bankrupt in a year. Those places died because the current model is more profitable.
It never stopped being good. Contrarianism isn't a personality.
>>22024368>we're hoping there's still some milk left in the gen x nostalgia cow
Wont work with the current economic inbalance and endemic corruption.
>>22024389true, when my family's picking a restaurant to eat at we always discuss corruption.
>>22024368I love DoubleDave's for exactly this reason. It's so fucking depressing to realize I'm nostalgic about a damn pizza parlor
>>22024368cool unc, I'm sure gonna be lit senpai. everyone out there has doh burning holes in dey pockets
the problem with pizza places is to have a good restaurant to eat at with current wages the pizza will cost $30ea. delivery pizzas cost less but add on delivery fees. take away pizzas cost less but don’t have nice restaurants because you eat at home. the rising cost of labor has killed the economical low cost eatery. the u. s. is now similar to where europe was 20 years ago and eating out will cost more, so expectations have risen. budget friendly makes no sense when you can eat at home “with your phones away” for 80% cheaper
>>22024656>take awaythis is an american website, nigel. pipe down.
>>22024368It's good that he's trying, i wish him success. There are not many places these days where kids and parents can both enjoy
>>22024607If you eat meat you are.. from the animals perspective.
>>22024368Isn’t his company already a large Pizza Hut franchisee? May as well just break off and form his own pizza business with John Schnatter
>pac-man>salad bar but no mention of a pizza lunch buffet>wow red cups and booths doesn't seem like anything special
>>22024888Agreed
>>22024373Shalom
>>22024368I hope he's factoring in all the stolen red cups.
Yeah that's why I stopped going to pizza hut, not that it costs 20 dollars for a pizza, it's because there's no pacman machines in the restaurant.>>22024888This is not trying, this is kicking the can down the road. The problem is food quality and price and this is him admitting he can't fix it.
>>22024368>pac manLol. I'm Gen X and no one plays pacman. You want the elder casul gaymer audience, you put up X-box or snoy playstation or nintendonts consoles. No one alive gives a fuck about arcade games other than "collectors". Also, does he really want the gaymer crowd? It's like inviting crackheads to visit a pharmaceutic factory.
>>22025632I thought it was funny to have arcade machines while saying people can put their phones down.
>>22025632>gen xer is jaded and self hatingwhat else is new.gen x was always too burnt out on benzos and quaaludes to keep up with a complex game like pacman anyway.
>>22024373>>22024389>>22024888He already owns a handful of "restored" Pizza Hut locations and has seen success with them. This isnt a new thing, he's expanding.https://www.inc.com/justin-bariso/this-man-is-on-a-mission-to-restore-pizza-hut-to-all-its-retro-glory-it-just-may-save-the-company/91346113
>>22025646>he's expandingthat just means he has to eat a lot of his own pizzas, because they don't sell
>>22024374I doubt Pizza Hut can afford to pay you enough to debase yourself like this.
>>22025800kek
>>22024368> fresh salad barthis will be gone in a few months tops. fresh produce that people want to eat is extremely expensive and only getting much more so. thats why all fast food outlets dropped it.
>>22024890The fuck do I care what animals think?
>>22024368Only if the pizzas aren't $30
>poisoning your kids >:|>poisoning your kids but with boothes and red cups :O!!!!
>>22024368it might boost sales temporarily for the one time customer nostalgia trip, but i don't see how it can be profitable to remodel a bunch of stores and then when this inevitably flops remodel them again because the places won't have repeat customers and quickly deteriorate because they won't have enough workers to clean the place like a traditional walk in restaurant, could buy them some runway to stay afloat though it's not the worst idea
>>22024368>no locations in the hood or ultra blue neighborhoods
>>22024373>Bankrupt in a year.>Those places died because the current model is more profitable. Those two things are not the same thing Anon. The old Huts were never UN-profitable it's just they weren't AS profitable as squeezing the last 5-10% margin out of the operation as possible via enshittification. If the locations are privately run without having to worry about Corporate breathing down the local manager's neck(admittedly not a safe assumption) they 'l be fine.
>>22024656>the rising cost of labor has killed the economical low cost eatery. the u. s. is now similar to where europe was 20 years ago and eating out will cost more, so expectations have risen. budget friendly makes no sense when you can eat at home “with your phones away” for 80% cheaperIf the US is now where the EU was 20 years ago restaurant-wise, what's the EU like now so I can adjust my expectations for the future?
>>22024368You're never getting people to put their phones downI went out to eat a few days ago and saw a mother and her kid both staring at their phones not talking to each other while waiting for the food to arriveEven during the meal they kept staring at their phones instead of talking to each other. Probably the saddest thing I've seen in a while
