I have a very specific memory of a frozen handheld/on-the-go chicken pot pie that seemed to be a competitor to hot pockets. In my memory it was specifically Marie Callender's brand. I searched for it and found an image of the box a few years ago. I think i was super autistic about it at the time and had to look through lists of discontinued products, and after like an hour of searching I randomly found the box on google. Perhaps I'm fucking retarded or something but I cannot find any evidence it ever existed after trying to find it again today. I've tried everything, from date search filters by years to asking different AIs. Nothing. If any of you somehow remember what I'm talking about, I have a fond memory of running late to school and my dad microwaving me one of those frozen octagon pot pie discs so I could eat in the car. I have sort of a melancholy nostalgia and I hope I can find a picture of the box again to help settle it. Sorry i didnt feel like greentexting.

Anyway if you have any nostalgia for discontinued frozen foods, let's see em. Tell stories about your memories with frozen food too.
This pic is as close as I can get to the marie callenders one from my memory.

There was a cheap frozen chicken piccata in the 90s my parents loved and would sometimes let me have one. It had no capers, can't remember if it had a side like a vegetable, but it was two chunks of white meat chicken, no skin, and a lemony sauce. It came in a white or beige container
google it every once in a while to see if a picture has surfaced so i can find out what brand it was

This thing sustained so many divorced dads in the 90s. I think the only reason I’m successful is because the days he got me dinner would just be this on a plate.

that’s why these are now mandatory

trader joe’s seems to be the only one in the handheld pot pie game, not even sure if that store existed during whatever time period you’re describing

Not discontinued but harder to find than other flavors. When I was 19 and broke as fuck I used to buy 12 packs of these with my walgreens employee discount and they were so good. These and the chinese buffet that would sell two pounds of short ribs and a side of rice for $15 kept me alive for a year.

im so sick of this shit. the standard becomes the premium and the reduced becomes standard.

I know and not only that, they started reducing the number of hot pockets in the box, and of course not lowering the price

hot pockets have always been terrible. nothing has changed, you just used to have lower standards.

Your picture reminded me of this. I wish they put this flavor in the main lineup after they discontinued Lean Pockets for good.
