What's the cheapest, easiest, tastiest way to consume crab? Which crab is best?
>>22024861Crabs are friends not fo-OUCH
>>22024870Crabs will be judged on a case by case basis to determine whether they are friend or food.
>>22024861>go to beach>find crab>grab crab>fight off seagulls>devour
>>22024861asians eat a lot of crabs. i used to see stuff where they would just throw softshelled crabs into the airfryer and eat the whole thing.

Don't eat bugs, there are other foods out there
King crab is the best but I recently learned they're not crabs?? Somehow.Cheapest should be green crab, they're invading Europe but I have no idea if they're edible. Blue crab is a pain in the ass if you don't actually like fighting with your food (i do) snow crab is the most popular around, the clusters legs are big enough that the meat can be stripped in seconds when you know when and why you're breaking it down in the orderdungeoness had no difference in taste or texture, but i've only had it a couple times, more expensive than snow crab
>>22025012King crab is supposed to be closer to hermit crabs than "real" crabs, which suggests that hermit crabs are also delicious. My mom accidentally bought a $300 king crab once because she misunderstood the pricetag. It was decent.
>>22024861Not the cheapest but I think the tastiest way is to lightly fry a soft shell crab in butter and eat it straight up or on a toasted bun. I gwt the craving for ot often but soft shells have to be good quality and in season
Eating the crab kills the crab
>>22025034how do i into softshell crab? the only ones i see are frozen in boxes, how am i supposed to know if theyre quality or not
>>22025034>>22025043There are so many innards in crabs, to eat them whole is almost insane. Even if the mustard is good you still want to pull the gills and sperm colon out.
>>22025048When you buy softshell crab they have the face, gills and apron removed already. The yellow stuff is still there as its supposed to be
>>22025043They will be good quality so long as theyre in season and not old. It needs to be flexible but not mushy, and not smell of amonia or rotten. Take a shot on some frozen ones if you dont have a real seafood supplier nearby
>>22025052>>22025034I still see a face there, i'm fine with being wrong but if they actually clean them then hell yeah i'll try it. i just didn't want to have to clean my deep fried crab and put it back on the bun
>>22025048>sperm colon
>>22025055The face is the best part.
>>22025055There is no face on it. Its been chopped off if you look closely. Youre seeing the cavity from where the eyes were. All softshell crabs except ones you find in the wild come "dressed" which means they're cleaned and prepped for consumption. Please give them a try theyre a delicacy you wont regret
>>22024861There was a guy on /x/ years ago who claimed he saw a crab man hybrid creature living in a large drainage pipe near his work. He decided to go hunting for it but I don't remember what happened. I think it was in or near Chicago and anons were calling it the Chicago crab n-word. It was basically a mirelurk from Fallout. If it's real that's what I would eat because then I could finally get enough meat from a crab for it to be worth eating.
Dredge up a big mud crab from a local estuary and cook it over coals on the beach. A single lemon for seasoning.
>>22024882god i love those magazine covers.
>>22024861Personally, I feel like king crab is the best in terms of yield for work. Although, soft shell blueys are easy too. Just cut the face off (this kills the crab).
Train a dolphin to catch the crab for you. Free crab son
>>22024861obligatory
>>22024877>airfryerNo. Deep fried in batter
>>22025499
>>22024861buy a pound of the jumbo lump crab meat and make crab cakes or crab dip.
>>22024861crab leg
>>22025655>not actually crab leg
>>22026647if no one ever told you they were fake you would think they were real.
>>22024861
>>22026654bro what the fuck..
>>22026653No. All one has to do is eat actual crab to tell the difference. Only retards who order California rolls cant tell the difference
>>22026654there's something wrong with people who enjoy and film this. and there's something wrong with the people who try to claim it's nature when someone forced it to happen.
