I fucking hate when some indian places put those big ass chunks of bell pepper into everything instead of just blending them into the curry. They don't even hold flavor well it just adds the texture of that weird absorbant slush that's inside of diapers to the dish.

You are getting ridiculed but I think any restaurant using paprikas/bellpeppers are just cheap bulking out. The amount I find in Chinese takeaway, but I don't think it's even used in those cuisines originally.

westerners need everything to be a one-dish meal. go to a real chinese restaurant and you'll see that most of the menu is made up of single items cooked alone. you order a meat dish and then you order a veggie dish separately. the average westerner needs their kung pao to have all the veggies inside it so they only have to buy one thing.

Bell peppers aren't really that cheap though. Cheaper than beef I guess but not pork or chicken.

If it's a few vegetables added then maybe, but if you order roast pork and like 75% of the container is cabbage and carrots then they're just being cheap. People also don't want to order a broccoli dish when it costs just as much or more than the meat and egg dishes.

When i go to an Italian restaurant and order a pasta dish with shrimp in it and the shrimp still have their tails on. You want me to manually remove them myself while theyre covered in sauce? Should I cut the tails off myself leaving all that meat behind? Shit grinds my gears

I like shrimp Alfredo and fettuccine. I prefer mussels alone with a side of bread to soak up the juice

One of the local Chinese places does this, with all of the veggies. They're always undercooked too, I haven't been back in years.
My other pet peeves are unnecessarily sloppy foods. Like the burgers with cheese poured ON TOP of them.
What the fuck is that
