>Instant Lunch>need to wait for water to boil>Need to wait for the noodles to soften after thatNot so instant after all
>hot pockets>they're sometimes still frozen in the middle despite being able to melt your finger prints off>conversely, will be lava inside and kinda lukewarm outside, scientists still haven't figured this out. >isn't a pocket, it contains stuff but you can't really put anything in itHot very hot or pockety, eh OP?
>>22025448If you follow the instructions on the box this doesn't happen. You may need a new microwave
>>22025436hey dumbass, this is what you do
>>22025456Used to do this all the time when i worked at a hotel
>>22025436it’s pretty close to instant compared to making legit ramen which takes hours, maybe even days for an overachiever. basically all you’re doing is heating it up, I don’t see how the cooking process here could be made any simpler or faster
>>22025465What the fuck are you doing that takes hours to make ramen. Are you making the noodles by hand?
>>22025436>He doesn't have a hot water dispenser at work
>>22025468I’m not doing anything, I would never make it myself. But yeah I assume making your noodles by hand is part of the deal. I’m sure there’s corners you could cut to make it like a 30 minute ordeal but people often spend an insane amount of time on the broth, slow cooking pork, marinating eggs, etc…
>>22025456>still need to wait for the water to heat up>still need to wait for the hot water to soften the noodles before consumptionStill not instant
>>22025483Yeah i mean you could spend like a day and a half making fried chicken or you could just pound it out and marinate for two hours and have it be 90% as good as the other guy. Are you trying to win a michelin star or eat something really good?
>>22025500you don’t actually need the water. you can just crack it open and get busy as is, you choose to make it more complicated because it’s more palatable that way
>>22025500Close enough
>>22025510I’m saying it’s not out of the ordinary for ramen to be such a time consuming thing. Spending that much time making fried chicken is very unusual, the only part that could take hours is if you wanted to like marinate it overnight, which I wouldn’t include in “cooking time”
>>22025529You literally just included marinating eggs in the cook time of ramen. I must study your brain
Run your hot water out of your kitchen sink and then getting it to boil only takes like another minute and at that temperature only takes like one minute to soften.
>>22025534you’re right, but you do have to cook and peel those eggs first. I just meant that as part of a much bigger to do list of all the required prep work and cooking
>>22025436It only needs near boiling water and stirring. Electric kettle gets that done quicker than a microwave.
>>22025593you’re not supposed to use a microwave. microplastics or whatever. the problem here is people have weak stoves that take forever to heat things up. my stove tops out at around 1,600 degrees fahrenheit which can bring a cup of water from room temperature to a violent boil in 8 seconds. still not instant, of course, but you’re getting there
I hope I live long enough for those cowboy bebop movie noodles. They yank a cord from the bottom of the cup and it cooks them within that second
>>22025602The water is not the noodles though. That was my point. The hot water instantly activates the emulsifiers in the flavoring and softens the freeze dried noodles, vegetables, and meat. Nothing in these cups is actually raw and waiting isn't necessary.
>>22025436dude, just run hot water from the faucet into it up to the line, place the fork on top to hold the lid shut, wait 3 mins.
>>22025436most people prepare their lunch before going to work.that way the sandwich is already done and is instant.this means you're supposed to make the noodles before going to work and they will also be instant.
>>22026072>instant >3 minutes Well which is it
Styrofoam is toxic when boiling hot water is added.
>>22025456mmm coffee-tinged soup
>>22026350What qualifies as instant?
