I am considering constructing a meatloaf. How do I make it taste very good? Please share your meatloaf tip with me.

look up a basic frikadellen recipe then just leave it as a loaf instead of rolling into balls, and bake instead of fry

protip: add stuff to the ketchup glaze. any of the following. mustard, bbq sauce, W sauce, hot sauce, brown sugar, garlic/onion powder

do you cook it in the sauce the entire time or put the sauce on toward the end of cooking? frikadellen look good i will see about that.
I'm very concerned about making it too dense, because I've had very dense meatloafs made by others to where it was almost like spam. i want to avoid this.

>in the sauce
if you mean the glaze, it goes on top, from the start, and brush more on throughout the cook
if you mean like, a gravy that goes with frikaddelen, thats separate. unless youre doing a swedish mestballs kind if thing where its pan-seared in gravy then served over mashed poatoes. wouldnt recommend for a homemade loaf
even costco separates them

>W sauce, hot sauce, brown sugar, garlic/onion powder
I hate poor people like you. Use real onions and real garlic and stop being a lazy faggot.
>>
>>22025891
>real onions and real garlic
what exactly do you think onion powder and garlic powder are made of?
>>
>>22025698
Ketchup is a must. It's not a meatloaf without ketchup. The pro move is mixing ketchup in the meat as well glazing the outside with ketchup.
>>

>mixing ketchup in the meat as well glazing the outside with ketchup.
these are the kind of ludo pro moves I'm here for
>>
>>22025891
theres already onions and garlic in the fucking meatloaf, you colossal retard
the glaze sauce doesnt need chunks of onions and garlic in it. kill yourself faggot
>>

>>22025902
yeah the lack of chup on the example here is appalling. realistically there’d be some mixed into the loaf, a thick coating on the entire loaf, and that plate would be filled to the brim with it creating a sort of chupmoat.

the blocked composition of this photo is causing me mental pleasure

that's cool.
the pit is filled with richers like yourself.
you'll fit right in.

>It's not a meatloaf without ketchup
you're fucking up.
it's supposed to be manwich.
>>
>>22026063
elaborate. i have a can of manwich in my pantry. do you just use it as is, or do you add extra brown sugar, worc, etc?

to make it good you just need good stuff in it. onion, garlic, petty much just grab everything out of the veggie drawer and throw em in the food processor.
equally important is the glaze
i use a mix of molasses, ketchup, honey, hot sauce and some seasoning
>>
I layer that sucker. Thin layer of beef. Little blue cheese. Anodda layer of beef, touch of blue cheese and homemade marinara. Final layer of beef and cook it. Last little bit dump cheese and marinara on it. And don’t forget the thin sliced onions! Someone made me a loaf with peppers and cream cheese mixed in the beef. It was good.

These are my favorite tastings. Side of juicy pasta and a couple bottles of wine. im having a good time.
>>
>>22026120
>just grab everything out of the veggie drawer and throw em in the food processor.
are you suggesting to puree the onion and garlic? i never thought of that but it might be good in terms of even flavoring and a smooth texture..
>>
>>22025698
Use Bulldog Sauce
>>
>>22026188
no. i mean you can. it depends on how you like it. you can leave big chuncks, small bits, or even puree. you dont need a food processor but if you are working with a bunch of different veggies its just easier
>>
>>22026133
that sounds heavenly
>>
>>22026063
Manwich is fucking disgusting. Too lazy to make your own meatloaf glaze and sloppy joe sauce?
>>
>>22026371
>Manwich is fucking disgusting
bit hyperbolic innit
>>
>>22025698
Soak your breadcrumbs in milk, or better yet replace them with oats soaked in milk
>>
>>22026477
for what purpose
>>
>>22026115
you have to cook it down a bit so it's thicker, but you use it the same as ketchup.
>>22026371
>Manwich is fucking disgusting
it's just a stronger ketchup, anon.
>>
>>22026477
no.
that would be awful and nasty.

>>
>>22025698

That's a terrible idea. You already have some breading in the meatloaf. Or at least some panko or crumbs.

You shouldn't encourage obesity.

>>
>>22027294
Do you add breading to your meatballs? If so, too much.
>>
>>22027296
meatball sub and meatloaf sandwich are normal, as are many other great carb on carb sandwiches such as yakisoba pan and the humble katsu sando
