Coffee houses were centers of knowledge and learning because most smart people drank coffee.
>>22027789i drink a shit load of coffee and i'm clinically retarded.
Why are dads like this?
>>22027834Not mine

Why espresso autists are so obsessed with making the worst way to brew coffee slighly less bad? Can't they just drink normal coffee?Maybe it's like those people who speedrun really bad games.
Y'all lowkey sleeping on unfolding techniques for hairo filters
>>22028366man what
Had this this morning, very good on the first try so not gonna bother messing with my settings further
>>22028572but you could be missing out on even better coffee
>>22028581but it could also get worse and i only have 110g left
>>22028586Sounds like a prolog pilgrimage is in order.https://youtu.be/LeQENi4ym5w
>>22028572that's pretty close to el turdo
>>22028430It matters, trust
>>22028316thanks. jannies are sensitive these days. probably overworked from all the spam.
I think the milk was expired i feel so sick
>>22028754expiration is a myth, just keep drinking it.
>>22028754Always check the date and give it the sniff test
>>22028364Why do you hate body and flavor and richness? Have you never had a good espresso? If you live in the US you probably haven’t, I’ve had maybe 2-3 good ones here until I got into brewing it myself. If you think it’s just nasty bitter sludge that people pretend to like, you’ve never had a good one. It can taste like anything from blueberries to tea to lemon to fuckin tomato soup if youre one of those weirdos who likes savory notes and you get one of those nasty Kenyans
I don't like coffee that much but I'm a certified barista (lol) but I don't work in the coffee business. What's a good at home espresso and milk steamer machine that won't break the bank but also is fine with sitting idle for months on end? I want to make coffee for my guests and eventually my wife when she moves to my country. basically something that's around the $300 mark?
>>22029541bambino
>>22029552the Breville one? may I ask what benefits it has over other machines?
>>22029655its $300your arnt getting better than the bambino for $300sorryits the bambino until idk the $900 range maybeits not the best at anything and has a good amount of drawbacks especially for back to back drinks but if $300 is your budget there isnt much room to complain.
>>22029666kk, I see the bambino plus goes on special for about 350 AUD on occassion so I'll wait and snag one of those
>>22029541>>22029676Get a De'Longhi Magnifica superautomatic. stick the grind to 3.5 or 4, when you first get it go through the settings to make the water the hottest temp.If you only use it sporadically, once you're done with it flush the machine, tip out what's left in the tank, clean the grind bin/drip tray and take out the pusher mechanism inside, use a towel to clean up any grinds left, then once it's dry put it back together and leave it.The only things that you really need to worry about is ensuring wet grounds don't get left in the machine because that will cause mould to grow, and make sure the water tank is properly dry and doesn't have any water left in it because bacteria will grow in there and you might get sick.
How does cowboy brew compare to other methods?
>>22029759something between turkish and french press, it has a thick mouth feel and opaque flavor notes.
>>22029712hmm, I have barista training so I'm ok with the manual machines, but I suppose the bambino also needs a grinder unlike the superautomatica which will add up in price
WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP its time for coffee
>>22029983I have to wait until I get to work to make coffee
>>22029712>delonghi shillFiltered.
>>22029985why? just make coffee now, how hard can it realistically be?
>>22030034Yes, you have been, by Delonghi's superior products.
>>22030054Delonghi buying La Marzocco should tell you everything you need to know about both companies.
>>22030038No all my coffee making equipment is at work also it lets me waste the first 30 minutes of the day
>>22030108fair enough. don't overwork yourself, anon.
>>22030070She should never have quit doing coke
>>22029541Second the bambino. It is really the best option unless you want to spend $1100 or more on a Profitec Go or something. Upgrade the basket to an IMS precision basket, get a bottomless portafilter if you want clearer visual feedback on whether you need to grind coarser or finer, and get a WDT tool to break up any clumps in your grounds for more even extraction. Maybe a cheap metal mesh puck screen to improve extraction and save you having to clean off your shower head. You definitely need to get a better metal tamper too, bambino comes with a crappy plastic one.
>>22030178grey advice ty, what would be a good grinder to pair with it do you think?
>>22030070God I wanna fuck the shit out of her and cum on her face. And then have coffee with her afterwards.
>>22030218varia vs3or a hand grinderkingrinder k7 or something like that>this is alot for a grinder do i really nee-yes>cant i just buy *insert dogshit that costs $50*no>cant i just buy pregroundno>cant i just buy whole beans and get a local cafe to grind it for meno
>>22030218These are not the questions of a trained barista.
>>22030292a trained barista is 1 step up from an apealso they could know what machines they were trained to use and how to use them but also know how much they cost which they know is more than they can spend so they are asking for cheaper things which they dont know aboutbut thats probably being too charitable.
>>22030292>These are not the questions of a trained baristaI learned on commercial equipment. obviously this differs to home stuff. I can use a coffee machine and grinder ok, that doesn't mean I can pick out the best domestic machine for cheap.>>22030324>thats probably being too charitableI feel like it's exactly what I'm asking. no way I can afford a $20,000 machine
>>22030384DF54 is a knockoff ECM C-Manuale. DF64 is a knockoff Mazzer SuperJolly. Pretty bog standard cafe grinders.
>>22030218Honestly if you can stomach it and you’re on a budget, go for a hand grinder. I spent $200 on the J-ultra and it competes with $800+ electric grinders. Even more budget but less precise adjustments is the Kingrinder k4 for like $90.Unfortunately it is going to be 45 seconds of fairly strenuous cranking every time you want a shot, but it is also quiet, portable, has zero retention of grounds, and is much less mess, and you also don’t have to worry about cleaning it out very often because the beans go straight into the burrs and straight out. That said, if you want to go budget electric the cheapest I’d get is the Baratza Encore ESP pro. I have the base ESP and couldn’t stand the retention, losing or gaining 1-2 grams from every shot, and the base ESP’s adjustment steps were too big for dialing in shots. If you want to go pricier and electric you’ll have to look at the DF54, DF64, and Eureka Specialita and maybe a few others, but I just went straight to the best hand grinder and I’ve been content to do a quick 30-45 second workout to get an excellent grind without having to worry about noise, moving parts breaking, or weighing my output again to make sure I didn’t lose 2g of coffee that would ruin my dialing in
I spammed half of last thread asking for grinders and brewers and kettles and all that, not wanting to pay the 500 yurocucks. I just came up today though. Rate my new (old) setup. Let me cook (brew) bros.

Is there a coffee brand that won't give me mud butt? Every time I drink coffee, my butt crack sweats for the entire day
>>22030782probably not
>>22030782fat fuck
>>22030395>>22030534both appreciated and I will investigate. if it's a gift I will get the hand grinder but if we end up going thirds on it maybe the electric will be the way
>>22027347Coffee is intermediate level chemistry, so yeah.
>>22028151what kind of coffee did you use and what was the grind level
>>22031123Store brand and espresso fine
