EGGS THREADDo anyone here know the manufacturer of this egg cutter?
>>22028941seems like you couldve found this quite easily with a simple internet search
>>22028941I'd start by google image searching the pic to find the original r*ddit thread its from. You might find the information there.
>>22028941these were very popular in the 20th century, many cutlery makers produced them. Trying to pinpoint who made them is impossible since those don't feature any markings or unique designs. If you can have the eye garnet tested by a jeweler, if it's real the cutter is likely vintage, if it's not it's probably a cheap pot metal cast imitation made relatively recently.
>>22028963The one I posted has a red eye. Yes, there are many lookalikes.>>22028965From ebay>>22028967It would be neat if it's a garnet
>>22028977Garnet are very cheap these days even back in the 20th century, people were more interested in diamonds, sapphires and emeralds. That's why you see them on stuff like cutlery, it was a relatively inexpensive way to bedazzle your shit. Still, today, they would probably put a glass or plastic gem in there, especially if it's for selling on ebay.
>>22028995Do you know if they work well? I couldn't find any demonstration videos.
>>22029024idklolI just use an eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher to take the tops off my eggs.
>>22029101I wish they worked on small eggs.
>>22029106That's true. I know quail egg cutters work better on quail eggs than chicken egg cutters do on chicken eggs.
Have any of you tried peahen eggs?
