What's your local beer scene like? Do you have any favorite local breweries?
A deliciously crisp dark ale with the brewery sitting on the cusp of the Yarra Ranges, it utilizes the sparkling fresh mountain water for brewing their quality fermented beverage.

>>22065200Our local brewery made a barley wine named after a sex act where you knock out the woman to increase your orgasm's intensity. Some people took offense. The barley wine itself was pretty good.

When you're a beer drinker, beer is amazing. You genuinely like the taste and catalog different flavors and characteristics and really get to know "beer". But beer sucks. You have to force yourself into that state by stubbornly drinking gassy fermented grain swill until you like it. It's unless you've forced yourself to drink it for a while.
>>22065200I know there is a thriving local beer scene, particularly for west coast IPAs. I'm able to get six and 12-pack cans and bottles from local breweries just at the grocery store nearby. I think that's pretty cool, and the prices don't seem atrocious or anything. With that said, I have never been to a brewery or beer festival. It seems a bit costly, and I don't have any friends to go with or drink with for a place like that. I'm also interested in stuff beyond the usual IPA or lager.>Gunner's DaughterThe milk stout in your pic looks awesome! I've never had a milk stout, just a handful of 'normal' stouts like the Trader Joe's cheapshit stouts and Old Rasputin (which I quite liked). There's a brand in my state called "Belching Beaver" that has some "peanut butter milk stouts" in a 6x16oz stack for $13. Sounds lovely, though I keep imagining that I could get an extra discount/coupon drop and haven't bought it yet.>Pic relatedI also want to try Sapporo's "BLACK" dark lager and wanted to dry Guiness Extra, but I heard they changed production facilities on the latter and fucked it up.
