I ordered hot Italian sausage but they substituted it for picrel while I was sleeping. Don't want to waste my time making something nasty. Is it good? What does it taste like? Beer brats sound disgusting
They’re great with some peppers and onions on a roll or over some rice/potatoes
they aren't terrible. I used to eat them daily in the 2000s cooked on the grill or in a pan.I guess that means they could be terrible nowadays since I haven't had them in almost 20 years
>>22072628yes they are good. just try them you dumb fuck. no they don't taste like beer at all.
I scarcely tell the difference between a beer brat and regular Italian sausage.Also>saUSAgebased.
Homemade beer brats are outstanding. Add a few cans of beer, a container of sourkraut, and a few cloves of garlic to a big aluminum grill pan. Boil em till they’re cooked through. Then sear them off. I’ve never heard of this premade version tho. Like brats packaged as beer brats.

total shill emulsion in an industrial blender
>>22072703No European would boil bratwurst in beer anyway. You jist grill or fry them.
>>22072737Plenty of fine dining used to be peasant food until it became trendy. That's usually how it goes.

>>22072628Steam them in beer then brown.
>>22072737Okay what do you eat on a daily basis?

>>22072966That's not beer. That's hipster pisswater trash.
>>22073141Stew is poor people food
>>22072628Too much sugar. Generic store brand is better.
>>22073141stew is poverty food lmfao
>>22072960What's the point of using charcoal if you're using a cast iron skillet for the entire cook? I'd just use the stove. Also I tried making beer brats with onions the other day. Usually I just grill them indirect w/ charcoal. Other than byproduct onions as a nice topping, I couldn't tell much difference with the flavor. Should I have brined them overnight?
they're alright, but you shoulda gone to your local butcher
>>22073236>>22073361that's the joke, dimwits.

>>22072631>>22072634>>22072650>>22073767They tasted like shit. All I tasted was salt. Wasted my one meal of the day on this shit
>>22075054For me, boiling them dillutes the saltiness. Also adding mustard and onion, grilled peppers or sauerkraut.
>>22075054they don't even have much salt in them. if you only tasted salt then you fucked up cooking them by adding salt.
>>22075088>They don't even have that much salt
>>22072737All sausage is peasant food
>>22075104that's the sodium for 3 of them. 600 something mg in 1 them is trivial in terms of "tasting like salt"
>>22075054>OMAD opinion speaking of a waste of time...
>>22072692>Like brats packaged as beer bratsthey use powdered beer in the seasoning
