Why does pineapple on pizza trigger people so much?
https://nypost.com/2026/11/05/lifestyle/italian-chef-fired-for-allegedly-refusing-to-add-pineapple-to-pizza/
>>

only faggots care, same people who insist medium rare steak with no A1 sauce is the only correct way
>>
It's just like everuthing else. People don't accept/accept things the herd doesnt/does. It's absolutely delicious, perfect, the deep tangy pineapple balancing the rich, salty pep/pizza.
>>
>>22276290

Italians are garbage people in general.

This is a slow board so there's no excuse for missing the existing thread in the catalog.

that ones run its course

pineapple is delishes on pizza, goes great with other non-italian things like tomato, chillis, and deoderant
>>
>>22276294
Beef is so flavorful on its own though. It plays very well with just some salt and pepper to enhance its natural flavors. Why someone would use something as overpowering as A1 on anything at all is beyond me, let well alone something like steak.
>>
it's just not good
>>
>>22276461
I tried it once or twice, it wasn't bad.
I did make the mistake of ordering it once and the ham was so thin that I regretted my purchase!
>>
Canola is a much superior oil to use with Italian food.
>>

>Why does pineapple on pizza trigger people so much?
because pineapple tastes bad and the only people that want to order it on pizza in a group are tryharding to troll.
it's just cringe.

Fun Fax: if you order pineapple pizza on a date your date will perceive you as being considerate
>>
>>22276290
It's delicious and I'm tired of contrarian bullshit making people insane.
It goes with almost any kind of pizza, pepperoni/jalapeno/pineapple is the all time GOAT. But it also works on bbq pizza or white pizza or even margarita.
Faggots eat a hundred kinds of foods that have a sweet component but suddenly pretend that it's impossible for pizza to be sweet. It's performative social media bullshit.
>>
>>22276504
Thanks for that interesting factoid. I haven't been on a date in 25 years but surely that means my next date is just around the corner so that is some very useful information.
>>
>>22276562
yep it's just around the corner anon pineapple up
>>
Real Italian-style pizza sucks anyhow, it's usually underdone in the middle so you have this portion of nearly raw dough. Also they're stingy with the cheese.
>>
>>22276560
‘roni ‘peño ‘napple ‘za, nothin beats it
>>
Can someone explain why my guy hates it, always puts me down for getting it on my pizza, yet ALWAYS takes a slice? That goes for everything, really. What is that?
>>
>>22276574
Insecurity, he wants someone else to ok the things he likes so there isn't a chance for an awkward moment where he has to defend his choices.

for me it's 'oked'am peño ‘napple ‘za but 'roni peño ‘napple ‘za is just about as good

I recently planted a pineapple crown and I hope to make my own pineapple za in 2-3 years from now :3

>work at a job where you'll have to do X thing
>freak out when the job you accepted expects you to do X thing
This is like a vegan refusing to handle meat at a BBQ restaurant, why did you accept the job to begin with if that's how you feel? Up until your firing, you brought profit to the institution that was doing such things.

This is why I believe there's more to the story. Surely he knew what he was getting into. He's in Australia. Unless he applied to work at an authentic Italian restaurant he should have expected to have to cook pizzas with silly toppings.

It's here, as I feared they were starting to get a little cold and I also fucked up somehow. Meant to get bbq sauce on the pizza with steak but somehow I got red sauce on both. Still yummy glad they didn't skip on the pineapple.

looks good. however I do hate this world we live in where "extra" means "a reasonable amount"

man that steakza looks fantastic.

wasn't pizza originally just a shit-tier bread that cooks threw whatever the fuck they felt like on and sold for cheap?

I know I'm going to sound like a shill but Dominos has really turned things around. I was a Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, then Marcos guy for most of my life. Tried Dominos a handful of times and was never that impressed.
But all those other places have fully enshittified and I couldn't take it anymore.
They built a new dominos just a mile away from me so I gave it a try a few months ago.
I've ordered 6 more times since then and only once have they gotten my order wrong in any way.
Plus their prices are way better than the competition. Their stuffed crust is pretty insane, it's like twice as much cheese as the other ones do it's almost too much and that's hard to say because I would be happy dying drowning in cheese.
They are worth checking out again in my opinion. Try the Garlic Parmesan sauce if you do, I didn't get it this time because I've gotten it so much I needed a break but it's ridiculously good.

I appreciate the fact that you weren't larping like everyone else here and actually followed up with images.

Sadly Dominos in Straya doesn't have a great menu and the quality is meh at best. Plus a family size pizza here is a small in America :C
>>
>>22276881
I've heard you guys have a lot of strange fast food knockoffs like Burger King is called Hungry Jacks.
At least you've got great beef and beaches.
>>
>>22276290
If this faggot was born pre-18th century he would consider tomatoes an insult his culture.

Hungry Jacks is actual Burger King though, it's just that the name was already trademarked here so they had to use a different name. Same whoppers and onyo rings and whatnot, although the special releases are always really different.

I think Dominos and Pizza Hut are still the same company (not just licensed or whatever) but the menu is different and frankly I think the pizza is not even the same ingredients so it might as well be a whole different chain. we do have lots to love, just not most of the food
>>
>>22276290
Italians aren’t known for anything anymore. The prestige and glory days are over for them.
>>
>>22276569
Can confirm, I ate an "authentic pizza" today and wish I didn't.
The worst part to me is how they emphasize that the bottom simply MUST be crispy instead of soft. Why? Soft is objectively nicer to eat. Italian pizza feels like eating a hard cracker with toppings.
>>
>>22276730
Probably some other stuff was pissing him off and he got fired when an incident involving this broke the camel's back, and he made it into this dumb shit so that his reason for being fired would be coming into work drunk or being an asshole to his coworkers or something else less desirable.
>>
>>22276290
Actualy click bait headline. Also since the place has pinapples that means it was already serving pinapple on pizza.

Retarded story

So what, I like A1

>Why does pineapple on pizza trigger people so much?
Never met someone who cared. Have you? Like, had a conversation in a bar on a night out? Went for a pizza anywhere? And a row broke out over pineapple (or fruit in general) on pizza?

Of course you haven't. It's all just marketing babble. Like American wrestling, it's all fake. But you enjoy the online drama anyway.

(I spend 2-3 months a year in Italy for work. You can get a pizza Hawaii in 90% of venues).
>>
>>22276290
Pineapple is quite an overpowering flavour. I would also not overload a pizza with anchovies - the difference is that anchovies are generally used sparingly; nobody seems to think of pineapple on pizza as being tiny little diced pieces to contribute to the flavour profile. That's the serious reason, there's also obviously the meme reason.
