New episodes are coming out on July 9th... What do you guys think? https://youtu.be/oUIK01ek-KoSouth Park hasn't been funny for a while, so I worry a little bit, especially since they're going to be airing political commentary that was already outdated when the trailer came out in July.
>>3966532Eh, I feel like I'm fine with whatever at the moment. Except for too much weed, they finally did it and made me hate drug jokes. One oldschool pure idiotic fun filler episode would be a very nice suprise though.
>>3966532I stopped watching South Park a long time ago
>>3966532I'm gonna check it out because it's an old habit, and there's not much else to watch these days. They occasionally manage to make a funny episode even in the new seasons. I laughed a lot at the "Tolkien" ep.
I wish pip and Damien would show up again
>>3968419We might get another Damien cameo like in SoT, but I don't think we're ever seeing Pip again. And if we do, it'll be a monkey's paw scenario where he's getting farted on for eternity or something
>>3968418Kenny would NEVER let this happen.
Vamp and Goth. Their kid would be an emo.
>>3968591>Their kid would be an emo.I don't know if this is a good idea anon... Would they be able to get over their emophobia in order to accept their emo kid..? They seemed pretty radically anti emo in that one episode...Perhaps we should sterilize them and make them adopt a nice scene kid instead. The emo would suffer.
>>3968590Kenny's looking kinda dead there
>>3968589It's really sad that we're probably not going to see Pip again. I suppose the British gimmick was a bit lame, but he was fun and cute. I would replace Randy with Pip any day. Alas, Matt and Trey care more about making stale political commentary than the precious brit. Very sad.

Season 7, Episode 8: South Park is Gay! Episode synopsis: acting gay has become hip with the men and boys of south park thanks to the popularization of the show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy".>the majority of the important boy characters are wearing "gay" clothes for most of the episode - which includes Stan wearing a fishnet tank top that that shows off his nipples and a hat with a blue five-point star on it (i.e, five blue NAMbLA triangles)>the first scene of the episode is a montage of Kyle getting a gay makeover, which includes a small section of the main four boys showing their feet to the camera as they get a pedicure>Craig literally calls himself a CATAMITE when arguing with Cartman about who's gayer>Mr. Garrison (confirmed pedarast) is initially happy about this (until he realizes everyone is larping)>Even the unfunny "crab people" bit at the end is a nod to the 2001 Brass Eye episode "Paedogeddon" that memes about how pedophiles share genetic similarity to crabs (given that the SP episode aired 2 years later, it's entirely plausible that Matt and Trey saw Paedoageddon)This sort of messaging happens in every SP episode, but episodes like these make it RIDICULOUSLY obvious - South Park is a pedarast show, it's delusional to claim otherwise. And not only is it a show that seeks to talk about pedarasty, it's a show that seeks to discuss niche issues that only pedarasts care about - in this case, the girly sho vs boyish sho debate. The show's premise is literally "little boys doing sexual things" and yet normies will still try to gaslight you that say it's just "irony" when you recognize the "subtle" pedarast messaging. Fuck this gay earth.
>>3973118>Dude. You have sex with children.>Yeah. You know, we believe in equality for everybody, and tolerance, and all that gay stuff, but dude, fuck you.I thought the spiral was the NAMBLA symbol? Whatever, it doesn't matter. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. The Cult of Scientology even hired guys to try and dig up dirt on Matt and Trey, and they weren't able to find shit.I sincerely hope that you're not a pedo hung up on this theory in an attempt to feel validated for your own sick desires, but if you are: Get Help. Also, the crab people were fucking hilarious.
>>3973208The NAMbLA episode even existing is one of the best pieces of evidence as to why SP is a pedarast show. Most normies didnt even know what NAMbLA was when the episode was aired - the fact that they knew enough about it to directly cite it should say something... Especially since the "correct" perspective is usually the one to get a long speech, while the "incorrect" one is usually the one to get the short quippy dismissal. Some vague phrase at the end of the episode means nothing when they spent 20 minutes making jokes about little boys having sex.>I thought the spiral was the NAMBLA symbol? The NAMbLA symbol is a spiral triangle. If the show had even a slightly less ridiculous art style, do you think they'd be able to get away with having the ten-year-old Butters get randomly anally raped by a machine in an unrelated episode about ghosts? Do you think they'd be able to get away with having a bit where the nine-year-old Kenny does "anything" for money? Do you think they'd be able to get away with pandering to the shotacon fanbase by pairing two little boys up with eachother after it became popular? This isn't a one-off occurrence that I'm reading into - half of the show's jokes are "children being put in a sexual situation". At a certain point, irony doesn't excuse it anymore.I'm not saying that Matt and Trey rape kids themselves or anything. It's just odd that a very obvious pedarast show is just labelled as edgy when they've gone farther than the vast majority of adult shows.
>>3973224Right, a spiral triangle. If that's what you see in every star, then that's a You problem.South Park is constantly making fun of things that most normies don't know about, like the actual beliefs of mormons and scientologists. It's something that's so wild that you wouldn't think it was real, so of course they have to make fun of it. If they were actually into that, then I highly doubt they'd want all the normies who watch their show to know about it.They've also had scenes of Indiana Jones getting raped, Mr. Slave shoving Paris Hilton up his butt, Stan's grandpa fucking an old lady, and the naked bodies of Ms. Choksondik, Mr. Mackey, and Mrs. Garrison. Not because they were sexy, but because the unsexyness of it made it funny. This isn't an ecchi comedy, it's just a straight-up comedy.
>>3973289>South Park is constantly making fun of things that most normies don't know about, like the actual beliefs of mormons and scientologists. The difference between making an episode on NAMbLA and making an episode on mormonism or scientology is that a lot of normies are already annoyed by mormons or scientologists, so mocking them is funny and cathartic. Even if they don't know the full extent of what scientologists actually believe, your average American understands that scientology is a goofy cult - seeing it get exposed and made fun of is seeing the manifestation of a relatable sentiment.Conversely, your average American has no idea that there are organized pro-pedophile movements. The humor in making fun of said movements comes moreso from making fun of "pedophilia" as an evil with NAMbLA as a representation of such, not from making jokes about something that everyone can relate to.The cult-mocking equivalent of South Park making fun of NAMbLA would be South Park making fun of something like The Church of Euthanasia - a niche, unknown-to-normies organization that can be used to represent an abstract evil with ridiculous beliefs that are easy to laugh at. But Matt and Trey rarely make fun of niche movements - they concern themselves more with issues they have an active interest in, which typically includes controversial subjects from popular culture. So why would they make fun of something as niche as NAMbLA, unless they're interested in it?>If they were actually into that, then I highly doubt they'd want all the normies who watch their show to know about it.If they came onto the show with a speech about why children should have sex, they'd be dismissed immediately. One could easily say that they hide their interests under the guise of irony because they want to normalize the idea of child sexuality to the masses. It's similar to how nazis will hide nazi rhetoric under irony so as to make nazi ideas easier to digest.
>>3973289>>3973333>They've also had scenes of Indiana Jones getting raped, Mr. Those sorts of jokes aren't made NEARLY as frequently as the child sexualization jokes are, and they aren't the whole premise of the show. No one watches South Park because it has constant India Jones rape scenes, while there are countless people who watch South Park for of the little boy sex stuff, as evidenced by the sheer amount of shotacons in the fandom (which Matt and Trey are very aware of)You don't have to be a pedo to enjoy South Park, but acting like the obvious subtext of the show simply isn't there is silly.
...Regardless: It's Cartman's birthday on July 1st! Everyone say happy birthday fata- or, sorry, happy birthday bigbonedass.
The new season was postponed by two weeks and is now coming out on the 23rd because the streaming service merger is going poorly. https://x.com/SouthPark/status/1940397871859384432I'm not very excited for the new season. I don't think it'll be very funny or compelling. Theyre trying to do political satire about events that'll be irrelevant by the time the season comes out - the teaser said it would touch on the Diddy trials (which are now over) and a "war with Canada" (which no one is talking about anymore). Also, Matt and Trey refuse to address Trump again or mention the Israel/Palestine conflict, so they can't even cover anything truly controversial or topical. Desu they'd be better off going back to making episodes on the boys being silly but they won't do that because it's not edgy enough. Matt and Trey are senile and unfunny now - someone needs to stage a coup and take over South Park before it becomes utter dog shit.
>>3974390I don't understand why they even make political episodes if they believe that talking about the presidential election in 2016 was a mistake that they refuse to repeat. You can't talk about US politics without mentioning the fricking president.
>>3974393Well, they're old and don't have much other material. That's why they brought back Garrison Trump in 2023.
>>3975071god i dont touch in kymaan its been over a decade but i think dom!kyle is my new favorite flavor. maybe i need to re-watch the kyman episodes for fun.
>>3975089This is totally unrelated to the actual Kyman discussion, but...>dom!kyleI see people sometimes use this little exclamation mark when talking about character dynamics. What does it mean? Is it specifically used for characters acting in a way that differs from their behavior in canon?
>>3975174its a signal used to refer when a chracter has a feature that is not canonical of itself. can be used for alternative universe characters versions or a feature that is not the standart version of the character "Agedup!Kyle" "ApocalipticAu!Kyle" its basically a more easy to the eyes way to understand what is read, since the other signal "/" Slash is used to atribute characters ships. So this is the use. Another way write it is using "-" this one. Kyle - Aged up. I noticed this "!" being more used in earlier 2016 in ao3 and other fanfic archives and fandom websites and since them the signal stuck with folks.
>>3975223I thought it was a really old millennial fandom thing, like giving ships a name in the format of "X-shipping." You know, like, this girl has fire powers, and this guy has ice powers, so their ship is called ... steamshipping? I'm almost certain that's already a thing.Or like, this guy ate this other guy's leftover custard without permission, so their ship is called custardshipping, or some bullshit like that
>>3975237this exists too. its another way to write and interpret. i do it myself for some ships im really fond of.
>>3976212You know, I was thinking about how the majority of MystChaos art/fic seems to make Chaos too cool and confident, kinda like Victor but more self-aware? I've noticed lately that MystChaos has been getting a lot more fan attention, with some even saying they love it but dislike Bunny for being boring. That's fair enough, everyone has different tastes, but the whole point of MystChaos is that it's Bunny putting on a performance. Chaos's appeal has always been that he's a cutie who acts like a hammy supervillain but sucks at actually doing anything evil. Going a little deeper, Butters has always been deeply lonely and cared about others so much it hurt, so he pretends to be a cold-hearted monster to mask that pain from everyone (ESPECIALLY himself), but he's too genuinely kind to actually do anything mean. Similarly, Kenny lives in constant fear of pain and death to the point that he's essentially become a background character to avoid any sort of attention despite his moments in the spotlight showing him to be a rambunctious goofball at heart (I know the real reason is the writers getting fed up with his muffled speaking, but analyzing him like this is more fun). But when he puts on the mask, he's an aloof force of nature who totally doesn't care about normal kid stuff, and is even able to weaponize his curse in a way that makes him feel more in control.Maybe the issue is that we haven't actually had enough canon MystChaos interaction to solidify their dynamic in the fandom eye, similarly to how pre-Going Native Bunny often had Kenny being mean to Butters. But from what we've seen so far, Chaos is fixated on Mysterion being his legit rival, rather ironically since the Coon is his actual foil (a hero who sucks at being good), because Mysterion is sooo coool, and maybe they could even hang out after the fight or something!
>>3978264Holy shit I hit word limit, I guess I really missed talking about my boys. Anyway I guess what I'm trying to say is that it seems like a lot of the current appeal for MystChaos is generic hero/villain shipping, which is kinda funny since a lot of the disdain for Bunny is due to it being generic puppy love hurt/comfort. Nothing wrong with that, like I said everyone has their own preferences, but turning Chaos into an actual Kid Joker character just seems silly and OOC, like depicting Princess Kenny as a beautiful trans heroine instead of a dirty boy who just finished binging Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura (he pretends to watch for Karen's sake but you know damn well what else he watches for)
Also I'm currently banned from /co/ for replying to bait about the orange ape, so I'll just say here that I'm looking forward to seeing Jesus and Saddam again. I hope we get to see Satan too!
Fucking CRYING, GodDAMN it's good to be back!
THE NEW EPISODE WAS ACTUALLY FUNNY!Good God, I'm ecstatic! I'm so glad they actually focused on the kids being funny again! I've been filled with hope! Now all they need to do is sodomize Randy to death as reparations for the years of torture.
The animation looked kind of weird, but that's alright. I will take weird animation if it means another funny episode! I'm so happy.
WE'RE BACK!
>>3973224>sn't a one-off occurrence that I'm reading into - half of the show's jokes are "children being put in a sexual situation".AS someone who only has watched a handful of episodes and is just in for the cute boy fanart, such sexually charged occurrences only happen to the boys or the girls too?
>>3979830sometimes there are jokes about the girl characters being sexualized like there is this one episode that's entirely about an 8 year old girl's boobs but south park doesn't have many important girl characters as it does boys so these jokes are very one note and not like the boy sex jokes that are practically repeated in every single season
>>3968487I kove this artist's stenny so much. Especially the ones where Kenny is being flirty/sly and Stan can't help but just gawk and get all flustered like a loser. So cute!
>>3980537
>>3980538
>>3980539
>>3978950>they actually focused on the kids being funny againreal? i've been avoiding the new episodes because i've never liked south parks political episodes, but if it actually focuses on the boys i might hop back on
>>3980969Well, it's not necessarily a Season 1 esque boy episode, but Episode 1 of Season 27 has a good amount of Cartman/Butters funny time - it's not *all* Randy Weed like it was from season 20-25.
>>3973334I’ve heard the child rape jokes only happened because they wanted to push comedy central’s buttons. Allegedly, those jokes only were in episodes right after controversial ones with more behind -the-scenes backlash.Regardless, you’re right that now they’re aware that people actually want to fuck the kids. We weren’t getting anymore subplots like Kyle sucks Cartman’s balls or anything gay-related honestly. Tweek x Craig killed off the chance for anymore gay jokes.
>>3973118That episode only exists because one of their gay acquaintances complained to them about the show. All of the outfits were to mock queer eye. Cartman screaming he’s half bisexual was funny because, it’s funny for a straight child to want to look gay to impress others. You’re a creep who shouldn’t even be near children.
>>3983593Ouggghhhh shota butt shota tummy shota thighs so erotic
>>3984602KEK
>>3964601i love this queers
>>3983593>Cartman screaming he’s half bisexual was funny because, it’s funny for a straight child to want to look gay to impress others. The pedo part is that Craig used the word catamite. What non-pedophile would make a little boy character describe himself as a catamite?
>>3986476One of the biggest draws for South Park in the first place was little boys saying naughty things. You see the same shit with edits of stuff like Winnie the Pooh. Because when NORMAL people see something cute do/say something vulgar, we think it's funny. You're worse than all the bitching and moaning in the /co/ threads, you know that? Because while they're all poo-pooing or ignoring the jokes, you can't seem to fathom how the joke could even exist in place of your sick desire to fuck actual children.Seriously, just fuck off already. Nobody here hates shotacons, we just hate pedos like you.
>>3986480Normies don't know what a "catamite" is though. How would a normie find the word "catamite" funny in a vulgar way if they don't know what it means? It's very obviously a dogwhistle and I nooticed it.>Nobody here hates shotacons, we just hate pedos like youImplying the overlap isn't massive kek
Happy birthday Butters!
I wish all pedos a Hot CharlieKirk
Butters does not belong with the Red girl. He needs to be fricked in the butt.
