I saw some complaints about how much merchandise the two got in the JP drop on twitter but Alastor’s merch sold out within hours and Vox soon after. It’s almost as if merchandise meant for the Japanese audience would focus on the characters that the Japanese fans like most crazy concept.

I really wish they would partner with a Japanese company to do more high quality figurines instead of standees because I love figures but am not into standees. I have the Alastor nendoroid and both banpresto figures even though they’re not the best quality compared to some of my other figures. There are no JP made Vox figures at all yet. I don’t have the funkos or youtooz because I prefer Japanese manufacturers.
I have to say spending time in the east asian side of the fandom and going back to the western side feels like a different universe. Now that the dust has settled Vincent’s design has really grown on me. At first I was neutral to it and thought the heterochromia was a bit much but I’ve come to like it a lot more. I think it helps that his color scheme contrasts very nicely with Alastor’s human design so all the art of them together may have influenced me a bit.
