They are all sketchy but 7 looks like atleast he would betray me from the front instead of back stabbing me
4, it's Goblin nature I wouldn't be shocked.
2 is probably the least dangerous person here

She looks like she can handle herself in a fight. Probably wife material too, once you convince her that you're actually interested and not just trying to mock the "freak".

She's a little weird without being too weird. 8 is good too, but she's a bit vanilla. Also her and 7 are obviously the designated protagonist couple and I don't want to get in the way of that.

I'm enjoying Fraction's run so far, more than I have recently. Zdarsky was pretty much forgettable and at the mercy of Absolute Power because of Failsafe, King was terrible (nothing new there). I thought Tynion was fine but it was very clear that he was making characters because editorial kept shooting down his scripts, which I think he even mentioned in an interview once. Going further back to Scott Snyder, I feel like Court of Owls was the only thing he had going for him. Death of The Family was kinda dumb, and no one cared for Signal nor Bat-Gordon. Although he seems to have done a lot better with Absolute Batman lately.

What do you think of Dr. Zeller, The Minotaur, and The Ojo? Do you think we'll finally get a normal Joker story for a change that isn't world /city ending and just fun? I'd like to see more of Punchline at least. Or just talk about Batman villains, and how you want their status quo to be

>I thought it was a bit weird considering they had to de-age Gordon by like 20 years.
Eh, I get it, I did wish they made him look older, specially to make the mecha more important to his crime fighting, but I liked what we got, felt very fresh at the time.
>>
>>152107116
I want to know more about Absolute Harley. I'm thinking she was one of Jack's arm candy girlfriends and lost her baby she had with him. There might be implied sexual assault with her too given the shaved head, as women who are victims of such things can make themselves look more boyish as a way to subconsciously deter future attacks from men. Hard to say, especially with her age. We don't know enough.
>>
>>152106697
I haven't been able to enjoy any of these. It's been terrible since Snyder.

Some comic history book also mentioned Superman's outfit is pretty much inspired by circus strongmen outfits. Probably the Phantom was as well.
If you look at what people had for entertainment back then, carnies were the another step in the innovation of spectacle and mass entertainment before the radio but after theater and opera. Circus is just the anthology version of various acts and performances. Showbiz traditions and rules that served the people running them were started in circuses as well as the general cutthroat nature of entertainment could be seen here as well even though before then, dramatic actors in theater and writers were also cutthroat in criticizing eachother's work and seeking patrons who paid them to create their show.
Superman combines the humor of clowns through his humiliation of villains, the spectacle of a strongman's impossible feats, and the presence/showmanship of a ringmaster in his cape.
>>
>>152107850
That's a whole other costume. Like a variation of the strongman.

I don't know about all this generation terms and shit all I know is growing up in the 90s watching Batman 66 with my dad makes me so nostalgic I can see the inside of my entire parents house in my memories and I miss it fondly. I had older cousins who loved Batman 88 and I had The Animated Series and loved those stupid bat nipple movies. Good times.
>>
>>152108713
They should keep the whole "not showing the eyes through the mask" in the second movie, but that's one aspect Returns flunked.
>>
>>152104333
I'm old enough to remember when it was shown in a block with Wonder Woman and Green Hornet on FX.

>>152105716
Batman has an inherent darkness due to his origin that colors his actions, but at his core he's also a noble character, and that works well with any genre/tone.

Superman at his core is optimistic in addition to being noble. The further you move away from that optimism, the less it makes sense.
>>
>>152108713
Completely wrong

Anti-66 sentiment was still there throughout the 90s in comics publications, especially when Batman and Robin hit theaters in 1997. I especially remember the doomer message board posts and letters in some magazines bitching about how the public sees comics as 1966 Batman. Millennial comic fans simply believed the Boomer/Gen X comics fans at their word about the show.

Anti-66 sentiment didn't calm down till the 2000s, Arguably with either the Nolan films, or the Brave and the Bold cartoon (because I remembered fanboys getting upset when the show's designs were first shown and then changed their tune when the show turned out to be good).

But again, the anti-66 sentiment primarily came from comics fans. Boomer/Gen X/Millennial normies didn't really mind it.

Have you read the Euro comic called Zaya?

Was this thread just your excuse to have an /n/ vs /o/ debate on /co/? Why? You could go to /o/ if you want validation or you could go to /n/ if you want to hear actual arguments in favor of public transport, but you decided the best place to do this was the comics and cartoons board. You are a faggot and you do not deserve serious responses.
>>
Whatever. The transport part of the movie is lame discussion.

What are your pitches for another type of this movie, pitting live action protag against toon or animated protag?
Personally, a 00's Nick/CN/Disney crossover would have been kino.
That or a 50's sequel to the OG Roger Rabbit. Maybe freeways aren't as big as a deal in this timeline because of the ending of the first, or toon cars stretch over roads and helps solve traffic. The acceptance of toons also means minorities are accepted mostly but there are still some underlying prejudice there. Perhaps one of the villains is trying to revive some movement.
Roger is struggling with the 50's humor being more parodic, family sitcoms/soap operas, and people like Chuck Jone's humor superseding the over-the-top zaniness and slapstick that he is good at. I guess as part of this pitch, Eddie would have to be recast. Or not, I dunno.
My last pitch would be a collection of internet and recent cartoons as well. Probably some sort of teen who has to go to a school filled with these underground cartoon characters and has to act as the goofy one compared to the internet characters who are all hyperreal or "relateable."

Finally, which is the better short, Rollercoaster Rabbit or Tummy Trouble? Tummy has a better budget from the looks of the cels and the slapstick in it but Rollercoaster seems a bit more ambitious and is a bit more funny writing wise. I guess Rollercoaster is more impressive and fun to me.

>What is this thread?
Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books.
Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere.
Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't).
If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how.
Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.

>Where can I find old Win-O'-Threads?
http://desuarchive.org/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O'-Thread/
http://boards.fireden.net/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O'-Thread/
(Note: This finds the OP for old threads. If you want to search for comics in the archive, clear the subject field!)

>Where can I find downloads for other comics?
Warez forums/blogs, DDL-indexing search engines (like FilesLoop), torrent trackers (like 1337x) and other P2P networks (like DC++).
If a link has been posted on 4chan, you can search for it in the Desu archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links).
