Thank you anon, I will certainly try my best.
Amaya as a vendor is a good idea. I did have an idea for a Sue x McCain hybrid kid, but I don’t know. I’d like the hybrid thing to stay unique for Art and Oly since they defined the odds. At least for the time being
Actually, does anyone have that kid chart on hand? Could use it

>i thought people liked Sugar, Ward, McHale and Jones-Quartey
Most people here recognize them for being (at least partially) responsible for the prevalence of the worst trends in the animation industry from the 10s on.

In any case, it feels like only McHale took the project seriously. Ward was decent setup, but felt phoned in an. Sugar and Quartey's short was entirely masturbatory navelgazing about her career. McHale managed to tell an entire story on his own and cap everything off in a satisfying manner.

It was an interesting experiment, but it was still very much an experiment.

>One of the most in my opinion insidious but effective exploits modern cartoons do is give the audience an appealing character design and enough of a character and motivation before giving nothing for months to let said audience do all the heavy lifting in regards to forming attachment by having them write their own version of the via headcanon.

That's more of an issue with indie animation than the medium as a whole, but you're absolutely right.

If the art style is handicapping you then
Think of it like a caricature because that's kinda what it is, the sum of the parts being more than the whole.
Once you see it like that I think you can smooth over a lot of the rough and uneven elements of the art style.

No, this is one of those "once in a generation" types of movies that's just the absolute pinnacle of the concept where everything perfectly fell into place. Other movies can match its quality, but as a live action/cartoon crossover paying homage to the golden age of animation? Fuck no, never mind fucking topping it. It's a perfect movie. You may as well ask if we'll ever "top" Iron Giant in terms of a 50s throwback animated movie. Fat fucking chance.
>>
>>151925571
Lots of people have tried the mix up cartoons and real life thing, and in almost every case it never works. This was the one time it worked out really well to make a great movie.

>>
>powerless manlet cuck husband

>>
>>151930879
>everybody else was FIGHTING!
Haven't you chuds noticed that Charlie CANT fight? It's both against her values and her skills (all she can do is make fire works). Charlie's power that she wants is to make other people listen and believe in themselves. That's her conflict/arc: becoming inspiring (and charismatic) like her mom. Her power is singing not punching things and Hazbin is a musical at its core, not a shonen.

Most characters had to be useless or hold the idiot orb for the plot to happen. Carmilla had to be retard to build the weapon and not put a kill switch. Vaggie just uselessly stabs at the thing (instead of them putting a scene that emphasizes the machine is indestructible or that cutting cables might make things worse), Alastor is literally tied up for how many episodes and Lucifer got nuked big time and was stupid enough just to waltz into the trap (oh man I guess we know where Charlie gets it from).

Charlie spends the entire season just trying to get people to listen and believe that redemption is possible; and she does. That was her job.

Theres no rational way to rant about it for 6 hours, but yeah ToyStory4 does suck.

Obviously it continues a franchise that ended on a high note and was not needed.
We had Woody who handled not being the center of playtime for a decade in Andy's storage to not handling others being played with, like he had almost regressed back to his first movie self.
The series has always been about being there for the kid, and Woody & the story follow that for the first 1/3rd by Woody trying to help the girl at school and helping her new favorite toy, but then we get to the new main plot of abandoned toys finding ways to get played with and it really muddies the message that we should care about the toy's feelings more than the kid's.
Buzz also kind of regresses to seeming pretty clueless about things, but he isn't as important.
Also something about the artstyle, everyone is a lil too rosey/chubby in the cheeks I didn't like it as much.

All in all it was a noticeable drop from the first 3.
>>
>>151927399
Genuinely a horrible video. Awfully paced, full of borderline nonsensical criticisms and he spends more time just repeatedly saying IT'S BAD without elaboration than actually explaining how or why he arrived at that conclusion. You unironically shouldn't watch this.

I remember hearing someone once compare the playground toys to being loose, playing with whatever kid is interested, whereas toys owned by a singular kid is a stable relationship. I've never been able to get it out of my head and it makes the ending with Woody deciding to leave to go be a slut leave a bad taste.

Why was this a trend in the late 2000s? This actually kind of makes me resent 90s shows because of how people wouldn't shut up about how amazing they were even though shows like Hammerman, Mega Babies, The Wacky World of Tex Avery, and Stressed Eric were fucking atrocious pieces of shit!

Why were people so obsessed with 90s Nick? Avatar is the best show Nick ever aired and that was a 2000s show. Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron and the best episodes of SpongeBob all aired in the 2000s. Teenage Robot and Invader Zim also aired in the 2000s

Honestly, weren't all the 90s Nick shows basically just mundane comedies? They didn't really have fantastical elements like Neutron, OddParents, Robot, Zim, or even SpongeBob had

I'm literally a stupid fucking zoomer and even I know that Nick basically died in 1993.

All your favorite cartoons stole their ideas from Pete & Pete. All of them, every single one.

You only worship Nicktoons because you missed out on the live action era. You associate the 90s with fucking Doug and Power Rangers because you genuinely believe that's all anybody watched.

Again, I'm a ZOOMER and I know this shit because I actually did my research.
>>
>>151930258
It reminds me of that bit from the Simpsons when baby Bart was jealous of Lisa since he's now too big to sleep in the crib. Nickelodeon is for the under 12 crowd and it's bizarre for an adult to be angry at it changing to suit the needs and tastes of modern day kids. By the time you're 13 you should have been watching Cartoon Network shows or anime while your little siblings watch Nick.
