Compared to all the cheerful young Disney girls who are looking for their one true love, it's refreshing to see a love interest who has shitty past experience with romance. Megara's jaded and bitter attitude provides a nice contrast to Hercules' character.The Shang/Mulan romance is more of an afterthought. Mostly the focus was on Mulan figuring out how to find the confidence to do things her own way even if it was against the society's expectations. Gaining the interest of Shang was just a nice little bonus.I think Mulan has a nice balance of action, comedy, drama and nice songs. Herc has its moments too, but Mulan is easily one of my favorite Disney movies.

After 25 years, Spongebob, which used to be one of if not the biggest IPs of the 2000s, is now bombing hard. Spongebob has not stood the test of time and confirmed itself as a Gen Z only phenomena. It is now a legacy IP whose relevance will continue to decline hard until it is like Hanna-Barbera characters who followed the same trend as it. As Gen Z grows away from it everyone else will know it exists but that is the extent of knowledge they have for the IP. That is its legacy, a flash in the pan.
