Volume 5 Mike was pretty upbeat. It's weird, because end-of-volume-4 era Mike was feeling super guilty, regretful, and resentful over how things turned out with Lucy, but then in volume 5 he's making jokes and is everybody's best friend again. Pic related is Mike's last appearance in volume 4, and his first appearance in volume 5.

I also think you're forgetting how Mike was in volume 3-4. He wasn't sarcastic or cutting, he was directly aggressive. December had him yell "FINE, get it over with!" in the middle of class like a weirdo, and later telling Lucy he hated her with tears in his eyes.

Masked Mumbler Build is the only Edd build that can pass as a tank, and even then it only works in that specific setup because his thought bubble shield redistributes incoming damage across the entire party. As long as the Nazz is spamming heals on herself and Double D they'll survive but it's not the best way to slide some extra DPS into the party.

They'd be better off with Gold Pants Eddy using his bribe talent to pay off incoming projectiles to go away so they could use his Jawbreaker Panic buff to raise the tank's speed.
