Go-Bots doesn't get enough credit for being one of Hanna Barbera's best cartoons of the 80s. Once you get beyond the stigma that it's a "Transformers Ripoff" (which it was never intended to be, both shows were developed independently based on different pre-existing toylines) the animation is fluid, the art direction is fantastic, the writing is entertaining and exciting, and the voicework is superb.

What I found interesting in Gobots with relation to Transformers is that the dynamic in the presentation between the leaders of the good and bad guys. The good guy is a fighter jet a very militaristic piece of hardware and the bad guy is a motorcycle, pretty underwhelming for the big bad but interesting.
